Smelly's 12/12 From Seed Party Cup Grow!

Here are a couple girls I took down last night...done in the party cups. I apologize for the lack of definition in the pics, they are from my camera phone. I am pretty happy with how they are turning out. I dont know if I will every switch back to pots. Party cups rock.

Thanks man! Like I said, I dont think I will ever go back to pots after this first run...this system just works! Shit, I will talk party cups grows all day long! I love it. I ended up bottom feeding like a gallon and a half every 2-3 days....so fucking simple....not tying, moving, arranging, just straight up colas. easy to trim and harvest...life is good.

I feel ya Ruiner. After these two big plants I have going are done I'm going straight party cup style. More variety! I tied this one down for fun but the next ones are going to be straight up and down.

Just curious, in general do you have to water it daily in a cup? I just put some into cups and can already tell I will have to pay close attention to the pro-mix. I might also need to put some weights in my air-party-pot cover cup, so they dont get knocked over.

Now that where talking party cups I think I'm gonna do 2 short riders "have extra seeds", veg them for at least 2 weeks this time and see what I can do with them

Shit I might even try something crazy like I micro party cup scrog lol! That would be awesome!!! I have the perfect cab for the part cups to that I use to root clones but Its open now. I moved these girls in there for there last 2 weeks or so, I'll get a pic up in a sec. Shorty looks way to tall and thickness fits perfect in there!!! you will see what I mean in a min when I get some pics up!

When its smaller, every other day seem okay but right when it starts to fill that cup out they will drink at least once every day! :twisted:

Here's the girls, I moved them to the veg/clone cab to finish out and I started thinking this is a perfect cab for Party cups lol!

just as an idea, for a newbie grower (me), if you monster cropped (or whatever there calling it) these maybe just 1 pull over LST and a super crop to allow the lower down shoots to be part of the main cola group too, ive heard it increases yeilds A LOT!

Plus from what ive been reading bonsaing the shit out of them would also help increase yeilds a lot too, oh yeah and Fimming? cutting the new shoots - dont fim 2 last weeks of veg - into 12/12 and 1 last fim so that the nutrients go all into making the budds rather than the small amount of new growth abve the last node ?

THANKS! making my first grow a party cup grow due to space and its gonna be perfect, bit of the mentioned above and maybe a bit of a screen too (scroggy lol)

I have heard that growing next to a nuclear power plant and watering your plants using the water from the nuclear power plants cooling ponds will get you some massive yields too.

Plus you don't even need to run your lights after a while because the plants glow in the dark and provide their own light.

That was my highly sarcastic way of saying the methods you mentioned run totally contrary to what hortocultural science proves would give you the best yields. But then facts are not much cared for or approved of on this site. They are considered to be heresy and blasphemous and only voodoo growing techniques are approved of and believed in.

Every time I see something like that it amazes me. But, and I do not mean this to be offensive to Smelly, I cannot see it as a success.

I look at a plant like that and can only think about what was lost, about what was intentionally sacrificed just to be able to say it was grown, and did that well, in conditions that were literally torturous to the plant.

If that plant could do as well as it did under the very worst of conditions just imagine what it could have achieved had it been grown in a 5-gallon pot or a 7-gallon pot.

To me it is like if I picked a stock I was positive would go up, and rather than purchasing 1,000 or 1,500 or 2,000 shares I only purchase 500 shares. When I look at the gain I cannot be excited or thrilled or proud of my picking the stock because all I can see is what I did not make by not having purchased 1,000 shares or 1,500 shares or 2,000 shares instead of only 500 shares when I was positive it would go up. I only see loss, not a true gain. I see a major lost opportunity.

It is the same for me with any party cup grow I see, no matter how successful any might appear to others. I only see a major lost opportunity and the more successful the party cup grow appears to some, the larger the lost opportunity I see by the plant or plants not having been grown in a different way.

But that's just me.

I do understand where your coming from, I would be lieing if I said I didn't think the same thing when I noticed how healthy she was and what she could have produced givin the right conditions... But,

For me personally this was just an experiment with some random bagseeds that where givin to me and I've been wanting to try this just to see what I could do! Not only is this a party cup grow but its 12/12 from seed so Its not like I was expecting 1/4 pound lol and anything bigger than a pc cup would have been pointless... Not only that but these seeds could have been complete garbage so I was trying them aswell.... In doing so, "like I said above" I will probably always have a party cup going wether it be from seed, clone or whatever... The point is filling up any empty space in the grow room even if its not getting direct light its a little extra bud!

For others, shit most people on here. There just trying to grow some personal smoke wether it be a pc case or a uhaul box lol... My point is, not everyone has room/equipment or even the want to grow in a 7 gal bucket and get a huge yield. For one thing its illegal in most places still and for 2 they might not have the money or the knowledge! So I say what the hell, if its going to save me from going to that shady dealer or taking a chance of getting pulled over with a gram on me, I'm all for it! Wether it be 5 grams off 1 plant or 500. Where still all smoking our own supply here but from your stand point I do understand why you would think like that, we just want to grow bud though haha!

I see where you're coming from with that, but if you're doing it as a experiment like Smelly said, or well just for fun then i wouldn't see why not. It's an interesting thing to watch, and if someone didn't have the room for a huge plant then they could maybe do the party cup way as well. Either way, like Smelly stated we are growing for ourselves so who cares! Haha, we all have our opinions though and i respect that!

I can see your point ... and actually your plant looked like it outproduced many plants I have seen people post pictures of here that were attempting to grow in a traditional way. I am impressed by your results.

But one thing I was going to mention and failed to, but you reminded me of with something you said was the illegality of growing in many areas. If in an illegal area, depending on the particular laws in that state/country etc, someone could face the very same legal penalties for being caught with a plant growing like yours as they would if caught with a heavy yielding 4 foot plant. As I said, in some areas it would not be the same, but in some it would be, so to me if someone is facing the same amount of risk, fun experiment or not, it, at least to me, it only makes sense to try for the whole nine yards.

But again, that's just me.
