ok so i live in ohio, and evry summer a few friends and myself always go to music festivals in other states. Bonnaroo in tennesse, rothbury in michigan, and this summer were going even farther. The problem is at these festivals, lsd and mushrooms are very prevalent, but its really hard to find weed. Due to the fact drug dogs cant smell lsd or mushrooms. Theyre easier to sneak in. usually we vacume seal our pot, and then we stick in in a container filled with coffee grounds. Now ive never got caught, however ive never really had to deal with cops. So for future refrence, what works. What can get past a dogs sense of smell? i would like to know? any ideas. And please keep the retarded comments to a mininum, im actually trying to find something that works...thanks guys.

I like the vacuum seal, but after you try that put in in a glass canning jar with a new lid and wash the outside really good. Haven't tried it, but glass will keep the smell inside.

Turkey bags work real well also, but they are generally huge and would need some work depending on how much weed you are smuggling in.

Use a peanut butter jar. Air tight bags or those vacum sealed bags and wrap it in a diaper. Diapers are supposed to asorb smells and I hear people use them to wrap up there stuff while in transport.

i saw on that show manswers that after they vacummed sealed the weed like you are, the than put it in a cooler inside a bid slab of ground up hamburger meat... they then threw it in the trunk of a car.. they said the reasoning behind this was that even if the dog were to hit on the meat, the cops would just assume that it was just because it was food rather than drugs...
i don't know how accurate that this is, after all i saw it on tv, so take it for what you will, but it kinda made sense to me...

So putting it under ground beef, the dog will smell it, and most any cop will think it is smelling the meet. Unless of course the whole vehicle smells of it."

This answer is more technical than people are giving it credit.
Dogs can smell the tiniest microscopic particles from your weed, these particles get onto the outside of your container that you store your bud into, because they transfer easily from the oils on your skin.
The dog alerts because he can smell the tiny microscopic particles on the outside of your container that you've chosen to store your weed in after loading a bowl with your friends.

To prevent this transfer of microscopic material you'll need to start with a sterile container at your home.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT take your jar out of the package, until you've washed your hands, and are wearing gloves.
You'll take your bag or whatever else you've decided to put your marijuana into, and lay on to the counter top.
Now wash your hands well....
Put on a new pair of latex gloves, take your bag of weed off the counter, and drop it into the container. (I prefer brand new glass mason jars) Be very careful to not allow the bag of weed to come in contact with the outside or lid of the glass container.
Take off your gloves, and if desired wash hands again... I always do... better safe than sorry.
Take your brand new lid and tightly apply the lid. Now this container is sterile and ready for safe transport.
Now... Marijuana permeates any container with pores, which is pretty much every material known to man, so don't leave container sealed like this for more than eight hours for added security benefits.
A dog simply cannot pickup on this, as there is absolutely no marijuana particles for the dog to smell...
The only worries you'll have is find a good stash spot for the mason jar. Have fun at the festival!

rep goes along way... ;)

Kind of like this but you'll need to ensure hand washing and gloves to ensure a fail-proof seal.

Scent Dogs are well trained to "alert" for specific drugs. They don't give that alert when they smell something to eat.
Any competent handler knows their animal & if that dog gave an alert at a great big pile of hamburger, be well assured the cop would be all over it.

Trainers/handlers, can also use codes, signals, and motions to make the animal "false alert"
which gives the "cop/handler" probable cause to search further. This is a shady tactic sometimes used by officers in attempt to psychologically fuck with you. This is a small reason I hate the pigs..
So follow earlier directions, stash well, and manage your nerves. You'll be driving away from them in no time...

Even if they dont make the dog give a false alert, expect them to lie to you and still search your car. Ive been pulled over and they called the drug dog in, and it never indicated anything one time. It spent the whole time trying to walk away from the car, but obviously "it indicated drugs". Fucking pigs.

bags is right about outside spores and washing your hands....my input:

put a pot on the stove and heat up sum wax candles in it...wen they are liquid keep dipping the bag into it, letting it cool, then dip it again...over and over until you get a quarter inch or so of wax layer over the package....this should seal everything very very well. :joint::bigjoint:

Hey mang, I'm originally from Ohio and I used to go to all the same shit. Nelson's Ledges, all the way out to Bonaroo, lol. That's awesome. Anyway, here's a few things we used to do, and we never once got caught. You got the right idea with a vaccuum sealed bag. Then take a brand new jar of peanut butter, carefully remove the foil top, stuff the bag inside, smooth over the peanut butter, then reseal the foil top with super glue. Pack it in a cooler with some jelly, bread, chips, drinks, etc. and just keep it in the car. This part isn't for the faint of heart, but I used to do this with my car. Take a bunch of glass (not bottles) and smash them up inside a bag. I'm talking like down to just basically glitter. Then on the floor board where you are going to have the cooler, just sprinkle the glass around the cooler and on that part of the carpet. The dog, if you were that unlucky, would get into the car, start smelling around and once he hit that area, he would get a nice breath of glass glitter in his nose. At this point, packing the bud in the peanut butter was just a precaution. Happy growing and safe travels mang.
