SMELL PROBLEM !

Best place to put my carbon filter for scrubbing trying to get the smell problem fixed any ideas on what you guys do what works best ? Do I still add the vent hose so the small takes it’s time to run thru the charcoal filter on low ?

Please let us know your setup that you've got so far. Do you have air-cooled hoods for example? Are you in a tent or a full room? What type of exhaust fan do you have? What carbon filter do you have?

When a new person comes on board, we ask that they provide: lamps, medium, water pH, temperatures, humidity, tent/room size, fans etc.

Most people run filters | Filter -> Fan -> Hose Out | which seems to be the most efficient way but I doubt there is much of a difference between that and | Filter -> Hose Out -> Fan | and if needed, with the right filter you can push air through the filter by doing | Hose Out -> Fan Located Outside of tent -> Filter | (I have a small tent (48") and if I hung my filter in the tent my plant would have to be almost 8" lower and I would rather have 8 more inches of plant, no smell issues at all.). Two ways to use a carbon filter. One is to filter exhaust (single pass) and provide negative pressure to prevent odor escaping your tent.

Another way is as a scrubber (multi pass) where the filter and fan are placed inside the tent and simply recirculate the air in the tent reducing odor at the source.

When both systems are used odor control is maximized because your exhaust filter only has to do light work and if it's not running for environmental reasons the odor is still controlled by the scrubber.

It's really easy using passive intake and your exhaust air pulling it through the carbon filter inside the tent or push it through the filter outside the tent. I have my filter inside the tent with the fan pulling air through it and exhausting outside the tent.

And placing the filter up high gets the hotter air for exhaust.

That's how I roll. I have filter, fan, sealed hood, outside the tent. It works great this time of year because I'm getting rid of the odor and heating the cold garage at the same time.

I don't even have to run a furnace in the winter unless I am harvesting and have the flowering lights off. Radiant floor heating 24/7 since I have two basement rooms on a flip. Summer though... The AC has to work overtime. but it is what it is.
