my plan is to grow 4 plants under a LED light and CFL light simultaneously

it will be in a grow tent with a carbon filter and air fan exhaust

the plants will be

northern lights
lemon haze
thc bomb
turbo bud

will the carbon filter take care of all the smell?

also when should i use the carbon filter? does the smell begin as soon as the plants starts to rise? or later on?

Some plants smell strong in veg,and some don't.

All plants smell in flower, some are extremely pungent.

Just use the filter the whole time.

I would personally suggest using the filter 2 weeks into veg. I had my plants in my previous grow smelling really strong at around 3 weeks of veg.

yes 99,9% of it, if your really paranoid get some Ona Gel ONA-PRO-4LJ-600[1]-640x480.jpg to keep out side the tent/room to catch any smell escaping, and remember filters have a life time on roughly a year depending on quality, size, how much you run it, humidity (high RH make it last less) aso so make sure to replace it in time

The aroma may start at around the 3-4 week mark.

Remember to expel that air out of the room, area the tent is in.

I endeavor to keep the room the tent is in well ventilated so any remaining aroma dissipates.

So, the filter should take care of 99%, but you have to help the process by providing adequate airflow, venting and other odour controls, if necessary.

I notice a nice green smell after plants veg only a few short weeks. Not a weedy smell but a very green plants are growing smell! Make sure you get at least a 6" carbon filter/fan if you are going to have 4 plants! I use a 4" for 1-2 plant grows. Yes things get progressively stinkier in flower. So have it on, and expel exhaust out of the room. Like said invest in a couple ona blocks, and plug ins around the area, as back up for sensitive noses (not your acclimated one) :-)
