Smell at 18 days old??

Hi, this is my first grow, autoflowers og kush.
These 2 plants will be approximately 3 weeks old on Sunday March 7. I can smell them already, is this normal?
Sorry I'm advance if anyone thinks this is a dumb question, trying to learn, to provide for myself TIA

You're new to this. In a couple of grows you will only smell weed if you have your nose in the flowers.

You get acclimated to the smell, I always have one of my non smoking friends to monitor smell outside of the perimeter, lol!

Yeah they can give out a slight skunky veg smell at 3 weeks.

Hell I had a Kali Mist seedling which you could smell at 10 days old lol She was an absolute stinker.

I have 3 in my tent, two are 33 days old, I have been able to smell them for the past two weeks...today I can smell them at the threshold of the door before I even get within 6 ft of the tent. Smells like a nice light minty-skunk scent.

Many strains definitely have some "smell" from the time they are young and on. It may not be a strong flower smell when they are little, but definitely a "plant" smell, usually slightly sweet and fragrant. It should be pleasant. If it's an unpleasant smell or any indication of stink or rot, then you have other issues or your cat has been using your tent as a litter box!

Def doesn't stink...in a bad way
 
I've noticed a whiff around 17 days into veg as soon as you open the door. Then nothing. 20 days, I catch another whiff. Then nothing.

Veg, veg, veg and they get a plant smell mixed with soggy coco.

Then flower. Nothing. Middle flower, kinda. Late flower and they stink to high hell.

My first grow, waiting for that stinks! Means I'm gettin somewhere

Just wait. They'll stink so bad it'll give you headache if stay in the grow too long. Pungent diesel smell mixed with fruit in a salad. Don't touch them in middle to late flower because the smell sticks. Sticky sap.
