Smart pot not pruning roots?

I have a 3 Gal smart pot that my sage and sour is growing in, and not apparently, growing out of.
All my other pots seem to be fine, this is the only plant persistent to not give two shits.

It's growing tons of roots out the side of the pot and they aren't drying off, they are just getting longer.
One root is very thick white and as long as 4 inches out of the pot into the drain dish.
They are almost a month old (Starting in April) the roots don't seem to be hardening either.

Should I just cut the roots coming out of the pot or let them die off eventually?

They are exposed to air, light, wind.

lmao thats really interesting. Should keep clones of that plant if it has roots so resistant to dryness. Very cool.

In response to your question, just clip them

Do you empty out your drain dish?
Yes once I'm done watering each one I replace the dish with a dry one.
I never leave water in the dish unless its mist water that will dry up in 2 seconds.

I'll get a picture.

EDIT:

Have a security system setup in my grow areas lol, took this picture.
You can clearly see the thick root.
Sage and Sour is the oldest plant in there, they are each 3 days to 1 week apart.
So no knowing yet if the other plants will turn out the same.

Strain is Sage N Sour

Nutrients:

1/2 tsp jacks 20
1/4 tsp voodoo juice
1/4 tsp rhino skino
1/4 tsp b-52

3 Gal Smart pot - Light Warrior + Roots Organic Mixed (Pure Soilless Grow)

Transplanted from 4 Inch at 1 1/2 weeks to 3 Gal

A lot more roots on the other side, I haven't checked the bottom. Just watered and cleaned the grow tent so not really going to move everything around.

I guess you should have 5 gal smart pots on your shopping list for your next grow. I've used 5 gal smart pots for the last 4-5 grows and never had roots take off like that. I suppose you could put the 3 gal pots inside a 5 gal smart pot and fill the difference with soil if you wanted. Trimming the roots won't hurt it though.

I'm using smart pots for the first time. Vegged for a month LST, now flowering 4-5 weeks and I have yet to see anything come out the sides of the pot ( except for water when I water 'em)

Yea lol, I use the box to quite the box it's on top of. Which has two ballast in it.

I could but honestly I had no intentions on filling up that much root space. I've been told by numerous people that pure soilless in 3 gal can grow out a 6ft plant as long as you don't veg for more than 3 months.
I mean the roots are suppose to hit the bottom first then spread and in fabric pots get stuck in the fabric and die off. Just seems they hit the bottom, started to spread, and some stronger roots got through the material and continue to grow.
I'll see if they don't die off within a week, if they don't I'll be forced to cut them off and anymore that sprout every week or so. It might just be that specific pot, might just be the plant, it has been a fast grower.
Don't really want to spend anymore money, I started this with huge deals, probably half if not a quarter of what I would have spent so I want to see what can be accomplished before I play with more money.

At worst it'll get root bound and I'll transplant before flower.

Yea I was surprised, at first I thought it was just more hair but it was too thick and white.

Well I'm glad to hear that actually, I've never heard of it till I received it.
Now even more excited since it is the fastest at growing and eating nutrients.
