Been growing Autos for a year. This time went to Photos.

Thought my Autos looked good but my Photos are blowing them away.

Is it normal for Autos to be small and Lite on Bud? I got enough but?

Most all my autos stay small none can compare to a 90 day vegged photo hell even a 60 day for that matter.
Well now you're comparing apples to oranges.
You could say a 60day veg vs 90day veg on a photo will give diff results... of coarse... It's a different amount of time vegging. If an auto say veg for 60 days(of coarse not) vs photo vegged 60 days what would make the results differ other than genetics....? I've seen autos that just turned into giant pop cans of buds that would have out produced most photos I've grown with the same amount of veg time. If you can veg a plant well, in a few weeks you can have a pretty decent base to flower off. Some autos take longer to flower too so there's that. Most people make mistakes and that just costs yeild and size with autos.
I like them, I grow them but I just find there to be alot of variation in autos where some plants will be great and others not so much. I'd never grow autos anywhere other than the mom room/veg room and or outside.

I only brought up the photos doing better because it was mentioned In the initial thread post. I do fine with the autos I don’t really care for them. Some grow nice and happy and get decent size and produce well and some just stay smaller they still produce decent for there size just stay small in size.

Oh, I agree with you 100%, photos & autos are so different with photos getting the nod for best overall. That being said, with a little time spent gently pruning and LST'ing autos on a regular basis you can push their veg stage out a bit and they'll take longer to finish with bigger, better buds than they might ordinarily. They can get pretty dense with some patience. But, photos with patience will blow everything away! Attached is a pic I took this morning of an auto that is week 12 from sprouting. Still a long way to go.

I guess it all depends on what you consider to be small and light on bud.

If you are having better luck with photos then you might as well go that way, but auto's can produce decent buds.

Ok.... and 60-90 days is 2 to 3 months. So how do comparing 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 months of veg on auto to 3 or 3 months for a photo make sense? Go away.
Well that's totally different :blsmoke:

I was just pointing out your example was a case of tomato tomato, potato potato lol

Clearly vegging longer is one advantage photos have over auto
