I live in southwestern Ontario canada and my plants are big (6 feet tall ) and (4 feet around ) but the buds are small and thin but my plants are doing good they are all very green but I have noticed that some of the stems to the fan leaves are turning red and the burns on the leafs are going red as well. I checked my tricombs today and they all look clear and not cloudy it get to about 38 degrees at night. Does anyone have any tips of what I should do to get my buds to start thickening up or should I just let them grow longer ? When should I harvest being from southwestern Ontario ? Thanks for any impute you guys may have

Oh I forgot to mention that I am using tiger bloom 2-8-4 flowering fertilizer but I have only been using it for about 5 days now I thought I could use that to make the buds thinker up

Thx for that Vostok, and I'm also in South western Ontario and although bud and trich production is on the up. And up, I'm watching closely to make sure we don't drift below 0, I'll have to pull it and dry it for oil or something.

Here is one of my bud sites, I like the purple.

And here is one that turned out to be male on me, about a month ago. He got the ax, but I'm trying to see if I can get seeds because I like how these girls grow.

And I like the purple, even though I don't know the strain.

How are your fairing with the weather we have had it doesn't seem like it's been that bad how much longer are you gonna leave your plants out for ? Do you leave them till first frost and then the next day cut them down and have you grown in southwestern Ontario before and if so how long did you keep them out

I'm watching for frost, and then depends on what the weather is like during the day, I'll play it by ear.

I've heard lots of people have let it frost 4-5 times, before they pull em. They are still growing and the lowest I think it's gotten is 6°.im going to watch it, I've got at least 4 weeks left or more, and if I don't get it far enough I'll make oil.

I am a new grower so forgive all the questions but how do you know when it is time to harvest your buds ?

You need to be able to look at the trichs. See if they are cloudy or amber. You want a certain percentage to be amber, and the rest cloudy. You need a loup or microscope.
