Small space question

I have a 3x3x7 grow tent. i'm using cfls 4 on top and 6 around the sides, 30w mixed colours. and my question is is it better to grow one big plant (lst and fim) to take up the whole space or 2-3 smaller plants? all added up i have 20,000 lumens @300watts

This is up to you, local laws should be taken into consideration, in someplaces 4 is a huge number, some 99 is. Obviously you are on the low end here, but if you have 4 in an area that 4 is huge, then your fucked. With cfl's you really have a lot of flexiblity or can have at least, be creative and make your lights movable to anywhere and you could grow one big plant with big buds (for cfl) everywhere simply by putting bulbs everywhere.

I was more thinking in terms of yield. I live in canada not to worried about my lil grow lol

do a few smaller ones...you increase the odds of success! If you do multiples you do not need to veg as long. And get more lucious colas.

I would grow 1 solid plant with those lights. Look at it like this. Your tent is 9 sq ft. You have 300w of lighting & 20000 lumens. Optimal lighting is 50w per sq ft. With your setup your getting 33 w per sq ft. Not terrible but will do if light is concentrated on a smaller area rather than spread out. And as far as your lumens per sq ft your just above the minimum. So me personally I would grow 1 maybe 2 @ the most. Until you decide to throw a 600 w HID in there.. Lol

I always stick to the 5000 lumens per sq ft rule. So yeah its under in the lumens.

y i think i'm gonna go with one, i measured my lights and with the base there 8" long 1 each side thats 16" 36-16= 20" of grow room so ya i think one plant topped twice would be best

Probably best to lst in this situation. You'll need to do lots of training.. But it's fun, as it allows you to interact with your lady.

if i use spliters and double the light so 40 000 lumens and 600 watts is that too much for 1 plant?
