small semi stealth cabinet

i was given a small cabinet and started this project a few weeks ago wile a wait for seeds to come.

i have not broke out the yard stick yet but i think its about 3' tall,2' wide and 11" deep.

i used sun shields for cars that i got at the dollar store. they work great. 95% opaque and no hot spots yet.

i used foil as a place holder for the sunshield and it turned the cab into an ez bake oven, temps went DOWN with the new stuff.

my exhaust is the first i have ever seen though i make no claim to be original.ill update with detailed pics later.it is two ducts that dump into a sealed box with a fan blowing out, and i was suprised at how well it worked,later i will add a filter or oder killer.

the cab is so small that placing a fan in the back blowing out is unrealistic. i tried, the only fans small enuf didnt move that much air.

there is only one cfl in this pick i will be adding more. it is 68w(real watts) it was a nice cfl flood light that i got for ten bucks at home depot and now can only seem to find them for much more.i seems like i was only charged the price of the bulb some how.

its all a little ghetto and its got more work to be dun. ALL comments welcome.

it is a diy "batwing" style refector ill post about it later in the diy section.(yea thats a big gulp cup.)

Pimp shit man! Looking good, my veg cab is almost the same. As far as fans go use pc fans wired to AC/DC converter or cell phone charger or whatever else u got. That fan is garbage for that cab. I'll post pics of mine when I get back in a few(just broke 2 bulbs while working on shit). But other than the fan it is looking awesome! And is that for veg or flower? Good growing!

lookn good bro...i would just be carefull with the wires and power stripp on the floor..hang them up to or cut holes so u can run them from outside the cab..

looking good but from my own times people are nosey they will try to open it the best thing to get is Big ass old speaker and do the same thing gut the inside rip the old speaker out and put some paper thign computer speakers in trust no ones gonna bust a speaker open I have the plan on my pc some where ill post them to show you true stealth

i cant believe i put the power strip on the floor!the cord for the light is like 10 feet long ill move that strip out.

for now the cab will be a veg/ clone cab.

i can get a 100w 2700k buld at the depot if i try and flower later on.

i am waiting on a larger metal cabinet for a bloom box. but the wifey isnt to exited about it getting stuffed in the back of her hatch back.

this is very true. but the stealth part of it was a after thought.im in my own place with no landlord. and its in my office so there is very little traffic.

pretty cool. I'm new to growing and i'm trying to flower my first indoor mid grade. And this would be alot better to do in my position...living with parents. You think i could, cut like a vent whole in the top back side of the cab and just have a fan about 5 inches away blowing out? and how smart of an electrician do you have to be to install that cfl? and you can grow a plant from start to finish with this system, right? thanx

you could veg and flower if you swithed bulbs. the light was super ez. just wire it to a lamp cord.

What particular light fixture do you have? Is the box lying around somewhere? I bought the exact same bulb from the Depot, albeit in haste. I didn't read on the packaging that it isn't actually a self ballasted CFL, but rather a fluorescent replacement for a ballasted mercury vapor fixture. I can't seem to find anywhere/anyone that can help me figure out how to rig a 12v ballast on a standard medium socket.

I'm diggin' on that reflector, though! I love seeing all the crazy shtick stoners come up with to support the habit!

Come on, man. Don't put your parents, and your relationship with them in jeopardy by growing marijuana in their house. That would be a collossal disrespect, and altogether very selfish. You can still get high without growing the stuff...

its made by lights of america. tossed the box but it said it was a 500w replacement. ill pm u a pic of the box next time im at the depot
