Small Light Setup-Need Opinions

Hey guys waddup. In this thread, I'm just simply asking you what you would do if you were short on cash, and being extremely stealth and hidden.

I have a large storage room, and in the center of the storage room, there is 1 light socket. I know am familiar with splicing cables and wiring things but I can't really change anything. If you had 1 light socket, what would you do?

I was thinking put in a splitter, or even 2. Or also, I wasnt really sure, but the main thing I need to know is... If I cut off the light socket from the electrical wiring, could I then connect the wires to a wall outlet in place of the light? I also have many light splitters as well. This is for 2 plants, and just guessing, it will end up being 1 because 50% chance says 1 is male. But any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. And only people that know what they're doing, I dont want to fuck up. Thanks :) :joint::joint::joint::peace::peace::peace::mrgreen::blsmoke::blsmoke:

what is the size of the storage room, now if your tight on cash I would recommend using couple of floros and a light hood and loss the light socket and rewiring ideas just plug in some floros and call it a grow room GL

CFL's if you want to be stealth about it. Pick up some Y adapters if you go this route.

Keep in mind it is probably a 15 amp curcuit so make sure you know how much pull you setup requires.

Well before I posted this I already got some supplies. I went to Home Depot and got a socket that you screw into the light socket, then you can screw the light bulb into it just like a normal socket, except it has 2 wall-outlet plugs in it for lamps/fans/etc. So I have that, in that I have 1 splitter. In each splitter I have another splitter each with a 23w CFL. THanks for the posts but I still need to know... Could I replace the main light fixture with a wall outlet? If I take the wires out of the light socket and put them on a regular wall outlet thingy (lol)?. Thanks!

Thanks though, keep the ideas coming, I have 2 plants growing under the CFL setup but I'd rather upgrade... I'd like to stay with lights that dont heatup because I cant risk anything, and im talking VERY short on cash.

You might want to divide your space. Its plenty big enough to have veg and flower room. Remember with lights you lighting the plants not the room. Keep walls in tight to not let lumens escape.

I know. I dont think everyone understands what I'm trying to get at here. This is a first time experiment, I dont plan on doing very many more grows, maybe next winter. I have this large storage room, living with my parents. I just want to be able to grow some decent plants, then take it all down sort of. I cant do massive changes. I just really want to know if I took the light socket down from the ceiling, disconnected the wires that power it, and connected the wires to a wall-outlet socket , could I then plug things into the wall outlet? I think its the same thing... anyone??
