Small grow box, do I need a fan?

I've got a small grow box. Approximately 1 foot by 1 foot by 3.5 feet tall.

I only plan on growing two plants, so I'll only have about 108 to 135 watts of CFL.

Do I really need a fan in there?

yes, absolutely. those cfls are gonna heat that box up alot, make sure you have both an intake and outtake fan and an oscilating fan blowing on the plants.

yes you might need a fan.

a small 6 inch or 5 inch personal fan might just about do it. you don't need two fans, one in, one out, and one inside oscilating. that guy didn't read the size restrictions.

they sell them at walmart for 6 bux during the summer, target too....

just use one fan for exhaust. and put holes at the bottom sides for intake.

the warm air will rise, get sucked out by the fan, and the negative pressure will make cool, fresh air rush into the box..

peace....

Yeah, you don't want an intake fan. that usually will blow stinky air out of the cabinet so it is a bad call. At the least it takes some of power from the exhaust fan and makes that one work harder. Fan in the box for blowing on the plants is optional, but may be necessary if your plants get real close to the bulbs. I personally don't use one because it makes my temps actually higher in the box. My filter is directly over my bulbs so the heat escapes better if I don't mix up the air within the cabinet.

worst case get a pc fan or two for an exhaust system. I agree on the passive intake.
