Small buds, late in flowering, help!

I'm worried that something is wrong with my Sour Kosher. It has been flowering for at least a month, probably around 50 days. The hairs are about half bronzed already and yet the plant hasn't fattened up yet.

Is something wrong or will it fill out soon?

- Blackstar Led
- organic soil
- humboldt nutes

Only one way to find out! I think she will still put on some weight but from your pics I would do some research on your lighting to see if it is adequate for flowering because they look a touch stretched.

Plant looks pretty stretched you don't want them getting tall you want short and bushy for dense buds.

Yeah this strain has stretched like this twice now. It's the only plant I grow that does it with this light. I guess it's the genes.

I suppose you are right. I will find out soon enough!

From the looks of your plant I would venture to guess you don't have adequate lighting. The bud should be ready in about two weeks fat or not.

that's nitrogen toxicity, read up on it... those plant are extremely green with small bud production. def nitrogen overdose.

Definitely could be to much nitrogen. Took a horticulture class and the teacher referred to nitrogen as crack for plants, they love it. Makes them grow, grow, grow and makes em green. But to much of it and it will prevent/stunt flower growth.

Its the genetics. Do your other plants yield good. I find DNA og kush crosses yield low and I know a few people running sour kosher that have been saying it yields terribly.

It takes 3 seconds to look up google pics of the strain - it's not just the genetics.

He has serious grow environment issues

From the looks of it I would have guessed a Nitrogen toxicity too. The strange thing is this only recently showed up following a 2 week period with only ph'd water. I will lower the N of any future feed I give it, and see what happens. Though, it may be futile considering this plant should be approaching the near the end of bloom.

Thank you for all the feedback

The lighting is quite obviously woefully deficient.

The girls and their buds are begging for more light..

Sorry pal, but thats what happens when you grow with LEDs. Put up a HPS lamp for flowering next time, you'll end up with three times more ;)

Also i did notice the people suggesting N tox. Sure, could be, but you got bigger problems than that here :/

Keep your ignorance where it belongs - inside your own head.

With that being said...Blackstar LED's aren't exactly the most reliable, efficient, or high quality LED's around. You are clearly overstepping your coverage area for that light.

Trolly post yeah, but I was serious. Unless youre packing some serious cash LED will never pay off.

YES there are working LEDs that gives more for growth than cfl, but a hps is still superior by far.

was gonna say lol and true, need quality led even though lower end is still worth it for some. you should check out Grenegenes AT600 vs 1000 hps grow. Very interesting. I just dont think heat and cost to run hps is worth it, AT LEAST FOR ME

Well for a small and very stealth grow in a small space, sure definetly worth. So unless you can vent a hps, then the LED is a good sub ;)

Half the problem is the people who purchase these LED's do little if no research at all into their penetration levels or coverage areas, and then wonder why their buds are all small and fluffy :p
