Small bud leaves, Stay or go?

Ok my girlies are say 2-5 days from harvest.

The samll bud leaves are covered in Trics

When trimming do I need to remove them? as somebody told me leaving the leaves makes it harsh and not nice tasting? is this correct?

trim them off and use them for butter or something like that, recycling rocks......

this is correct. save the trim though, search "gumby hash". if you have a kitchen you have the stuff to make gumby hash out of your trim.

get a bubble bag set and make some primo hashish

search isnt working right now or id find it myself for you. theres vids on youtube also.

bubble bags are def the way to go, but they cost bigtime. gumby hash costs nothing to make.

yeah trim them and either make hash or save them for when you got nothing, those little frosty covered leaves are a better smoke than shwag any day

or a 25.00 framed silk screen from hobby lobby

What do you do with the silk screen in the frame? Can you elaborate?

So it's like a kief strainer type of thing?

good to know. I have no clue how to make hash, but someday I think I'll be wanting to learn.

gumby hash is the way to go......................

Ice Hash is simple as hell, its not the most potent, but the first batch can be if done properly.
Tools =
Blender or beaters and a bucket,
Piece of Window screen or Reusable Coffee Filter,
2 Paper Coffee Filters
A clear jar to strain ur mix in (Coffee Filter must be able to be put over the top so nothing will leak thru),
Ice & Water

Take ur trim and throw it in a blender or bucket. Then add ice and water to cover the trim. The ice is the most important thing here. U want the ice to freeze the leaves, then aggetate the leaves by blending or beating and the trichomes will fall off into the water. The more u blend or beat the less potent it will become so I suggest doing this in stages.
After u mix ur leaves and ice water around for a bit u are ready to seperate the bulk of the leaf matter from the water. Take ur piece of window screen and tie it over the jar, leave enough room on top for all the leaf matter to collect, if ur jar is too small u may need two or more jars to complete this process. Simply pour all ur ice water and leaf into the jar, the screen should stop the leaf from going in. The water is what u want. Take the water and put it into the fridge for an hour or two. When u come back u will see all ur trichomes on the bottom of the jar and whatever leaf matter that made it past the screen will be floating. Carefully pour off as much water as u can without pouring out any trichomes. Finaly u take a paper coffee filter and put it over a jar just like u did with the screen and pour your mix thru there. The trichomes will stay in the filter for u to collect. I always do this twice, once beating the leaves for a short period of time to get my personal stash and another time when I beat the leaves for a long time to get the shit I share with my friends...
