Smacker’s irrational dream

The Rosetta’s are loving life right now. The c99’s are also. We will probably flip them Saturday. The room is ready and clean. The irrigation system was been running the last two days and test perfectly. We’ll pull clones off all the c99’s Friday.

Anyone in the RU do custom printed Mylars or have any recommendations for sourcing. I know they are everywhere on google but I would rather spend my money with someone in the group.

If my state well vote for recreational marijuana in november. They plan to allow some macro Growers as well. I figured startup cost must be quite a bit. Thank you for sharing this with us I enjoy your post.

One of Oklahoma’s Ass hats came to Mississippi’s market (indoor only) and bought open air greenhouses to run product until his 30 million dollar facility is done. He broke 7 laws and several regulations in the process. This is not what we need for the first headline of our new industry.

My best advice is two fold. 1. Start putting your sop’s together now. 2. Have a wad of cash on hand. Lol. I am ashamed of how much I’ve invested and it doesn’t have a apparent end in sight. Last week we could sell deli style to depos. This week deli style is explicitly banned and we must package in “retail ready form” before we can transfer in metrc. So now I’m trying to figure out how package reliably and efficiently without spending another fortune. Every week the state finds a new avenue to fk the little guy.

So many of the dispensaries and grows in the medical states are owned by huge corporations. I'm very happy to see someone like you able to start a business of your own. I truly believe this is the new Gold Rush. Just FYI, I've had great success ordering lights through Alibaba.

I didn’t use the baba but I did send 30k to a chinaman who claims his name is Frank. Lol. I was scared I was going to be scammed so I made him send me a video from inside the US warehouse in California and walk outside the building to show the address on it. I told him if they didn’t deliver I was flying over with bolt cutters, renting the largest uhaul available and getting my 30k worth of lights plus expenses from him. He laughed and I told him Rednecks don’t fuck around and that I’d gladly go back to prison over 30k. The lights arrived two days earlier than promised and he call me at 4 am his time to verify my satisfaction with his products. Haha

Are you using microbes in your grow? If not I can put you in touch with one of the owners of soil balance, I can assure you, you would have full support deep discounts and they have several people with phds on board.

We have found the limit for Rosetta’s EC. I’ve got 4 plants that are not happy with a constant 3.0 and a dozen showing signs of burn. So I flushed them today and will be coming back at 2.5 for a few days. Hopefully I didn’t slow them down to much. I should have started backing it down 3 days ago when I first spotted the first signs. Oh well, live and learn. Feel free to comment on my stupidity. Lol

I'm sure they'll bounce back quickly. Good thing you caught it when you did. Trying to stay on top of every detail must be exhausting. You're doing great!

I’m not sure how great I’m doing but I’m giving it my all. I’ve learned so much in the last 3 months it’s unreal. I’m hoping by the time everyone else gets rolling in our market I’m over stupid stuff like this and can be bringing the quality I’m after.
On a side note our crazy regs change weekly. As of last week we(cultivators) are responsible for “retail ready” packaging before dispensary’s can accept our products. The retail ready package must be sealed and cannot be seen into so I’m not sure how dispensary’s are going to handle this. And I damn sure don’t want to sit down a bag 3,000 eights. Lol

That's just so you can't sleep lol. I was hoping VA would allow a craft growing license for small growers selling at farmers markets and small retail but they're screwing up the legislation worse as they get closer to passing it as we got a Republican Governor that wants to be President one day.
Get up every day and say Carpe Diem, Sieze the day! Give it your 100% like you're doing and you can only end up satisfied. Guess you're going to be getting a corporate account with Grove bags now huh?

I’ve talked to several packaging companies about different products and grove is one of them. Lol. I wasn’t expecting nor was I prepared to spend 6-10k on freaking bags. lol

Everyone seems to be recovering from my lack of experience. There are no new signs of burn and the plants are still stacking nicely. I definitely will be more vigilant moving forward but it’s a hell of a juggling act as a one man band. I’ve also been trying to complete the last of my to do list with the building so installed 2 more cameras, led flood lights and I’m halfway done with my drying room.

Goes to show how much waste we have in our world. It would be great to think of a solution to this problem, stoners of all people I'm sure would be glad to recycle old medical containers and honestly I'd rather buy medical if I did buy it, from somewhere that is as considerate as they can be to our environment.
Your grow is coming along nice!! Great work and thanks so much for sharing

I fully agree. There has to be a less wasteful solution to the packaging. Thanks for the kind words about the grow. I’m giving it 100%, I know I’m not gods gift to the world for grower knowledge but I’m gaining experience and knowledge by the hour at this point. Lol.
I’m struggling the most with germination. I was originally using floraflex cubes but was loosing 50% to saturation. The seeds would crack start to go and stop. After a week when I investigate the seeds are mush. I’ve swapped back to rot riot cubes and I’m not really getting better results. I did do the paper towel method on both but I’m missing something or it’s because most of these seeds are a couple years old. Last go was bottled water ph’ed to 5.8 damped the paper towels placed seeds in towel and sealed in a ziplock bag for two days. Only half popped and only half those came up. So I’m at a loss. The room is 78-80f, clone light over the closed dome after placing in cubes. I’ve tried with and without a heat mat. Virtually the same end result. I hate to switch to bringing in clones but at this point it would be cheaper to by a couple solid cuts to mother out versus popping another few grand worth of seeds to just toss in a few weeks.

It was a interesting day in flower room 2. Apparently the wife tossed 10 regular seeds into a 500 pack of feminized c99’s. Today I found 4 males. They are only 13 days into flower but it still created a panic. Lol. I finally finished our dry room ceiling so once I connect the dehu controller it will be ready to go. The Cinderella’s have reached the trellis so tomorrow we’ll net them and prepare for the bolt. I’ve almost completely done everything on my checklist so I’m looking forward to focusing on my plants instead of construction.

We officially requested our inspection yesterday. Everyone here that is licensed is on a temporary license. We received a response stating they would be making a unannounced visit for our inspection but didn’t provide any details as to the timeframe. We responded back that is fine but please call ahead or arrive after 5pm as the wife and I have 50+ hour a week career’s outside of our garden. I fully expect them to not come until next year. They were advertising open positions for state inspectors on indeed last week. .
The wife tried killing all my clones while I was out Saturday. She pulled them from the cloner after preparing the coco. The issue that got us is the ext/off/100/80/60/40 knob on the lights. I had switched the unoccupied table and a half of lights to off. She just turned the knob until they were on, 100% on at 28”. So when I arrived 5hours later I was shocked by the poor clones conditions and it took me all of 2 minutes to realize what she had done. All our lights are daisy chained to a controller set on 30% currently. . I may have half survive if I’m lucky. So I guess I’ll be revegging the keeper of our Rosetta hunt because with my luck she killed the keeper. ☠. On a good note our Rosetta ladies in flower are showing no new sign of nutrient burn and are filling out nicely. Our c99’s are headed into the weekend where they will be getting a defoliation. All in all I am proud of the plants we’ve been caring for and I hope to do considerably better on the c99’s than I did on Rosetta.
