Slow Growing Seedlings

My first grow went great other than little stretching and a flood lol. I started a few weeks ago and their on the 3rd set of leaves counting the round ones that fall off they seem to be growing very slow to me as last go they were growing 1-1.5" a day. I had a lot more CFL's last time though and little better setup. I have someone bringing me a few clones too can't wait for them. Anyway it sounds like your learning and thats what it's about(get the first grow under your belt and should be okay). Best of luck to you!

It's you're.

In fact, let me correct your entire statement.

"You're a dumb mother fucker!"

The lesson here is:
If you are going to call someone else a pot, make sure you are not the kettle.

@OP
Get your lights closer to your plants. Maximum of 3", go for 2".

Grass master, you are coming across as either very ignorant or immature, one or the other..This person is new at growing and came to the forum for assistance not to be made fun of..Grab some intelligence and show a little respect or move to another site.

i would just replant them in fresh soil and burry the stem right up to the leavs this well also make the stem develope roots making it stronger. i also use cfls bro and im running 2 65 watts(300 eqv) 16 42 watts(100eqv) and 8 26 watts(65 eqv) so im pruducing aprx 500 actull watts( aprx 2700 eqv) and about 30 000 lummens all in a 5 foot long, 2 feet wide and 5 feet high, so if im correct that 10 sqr feet. and my light are about 8 inches away but becasue im running so many they dont need to be as close. good luck man.... CFLs ARE THE WAY TO GO NOW.

I would like to point out that although many of the factors you all mention are probably the cause for this person's slow seedling growth, what weed monkey mentioned about getting bad seeds is very real and should not be dismissed so easily. I have grown many times and always use same methods but every once in while I get bad seeds and they exhibit exactly the same symptoms. Seems to occur most often when the seeds are real small but what he said is so true, i have gotten bad seeds many times

There are nine seedlings, each in their own large bucket with nutrient-rich soil.
This and the low lighting is the problem. Uproot them and repot into something smaller with less nutrient rich soil, better still, put them in cocos if you want to see more rapid growth, this way you can also bury your stem a little deeper at the same time. Get a minimum 10x more light in there
