Ok so i will start by saying this is my second grow. My first grow was a bit of a saga, a good learning curve nonetheless, but in short i yeilded a bit over a quarter off 2 plants. I went through the grow with no inclination of testing ph, probably overwatered a few times and started out with the wrong lights (20 000k t5's and 150watt MH with very old bulb)

So now i find myself on about day 45 from seed and im not quite happy with the growth rate. Here are the specs.

-grow cupboard about 3 footx4 footx 5 1/2 foot

-600w hps

-200 or 240 cfm(cant quite remember) fan for exhaust

-70-30 soil -perlite medium

-canna terra vega nutes

-water ph'd to 6.2. The runoff is 6.0

-temps are 25c and drop to about 15c at night.

-2 master kush, 2 skunk #11 and 1 Blue cheese

Ok so here are some pics as of day 45 from seed. one of the kush's was topped and one of the skunks was lst'd.
Are they slow? Any input/advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

first off looks like you got some ph issues and plants are in some dire need of nitrogen how much are you feeding them and how many day intervels are you doin this you should be approx giving them min 6.6 ph to 7.0 ph after food is mixed looks like your lockin out vital nutrients

yuppers, drfever knows, and I second. i had that damn deficiency while growing in RO water without any calmag. But you should be alright, I was in hydro and I never did fix the deficiency before abandonment of the plant. Goodluck

Right now they are getting 4ml / L of terra vega every 4-5 days. 5ml / L is full strength. I will ph the solution to 6.6 - 7 next feed. So if ive had a lockout, would it be wise to flush them with the corrected ph water before adding more nutes?

your tallest plant may be to close to the light source which is seen by the new growth yellowing. The lower to middle yellowing is a ph problem locking out the nitrogen. Ph should be between 5.5 and 6.2. You aint heard it from me. good luck doe

So what should the ph of my water/solution be? 5.5-6.0 or 6.6-7.0? i have been going with 6.2 so far and i definately think that there is evidence of lockout. But the thing is, only the master kush's are yellowing. the skunks are a nice dark green and the blue cheese is blueish green. I watered last night with straight 6.6 water hoping that will unlock any unused nutrients in the soil and give them some food.

Different strains can have different sweet spots. I'd up your ph to 6.5 for the MK and get the cal and mag in there as well. N is a definite, especially now in veg, they are def screaming for N, but also start prepping them for flowering and get some cal mag in there. Good luck, keep us posted!

Ok so after giving them straight 6.6 water about 4 days ago they arent looking much better :( I will post a photo when the lights come on but one of the skunks is starting to get claw shaped leaves. The mk leaves are looking a little darker but still growing slowly. I will give them an N feed this arvo and then the feed after that i think ill just give them a bloom feed and switch to 12 12. Ive just built another cabinet with cfl's so i can start again and try and work out how i can get the new ones to grow properly. Ive still got a couple of seeds and i took some clones the other day, im just hoping they root. Instead of wasting my time waiting for these fuckers to get their act together........ so frustrating. But i refuse to give up!

ok so there is the clawed up skunk which i think is due to ph fluctuation. The mk that is looking greener, the blue cheese that looks good apart from its smallness and the whole lot. Does it look like a little bit of nute burn on the tips of the mk? It would almost be a good thing in my situation because it would mean that after i changed the water ph they are actually taking in nutes. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you are overwatering, but I'm no expert

Over/Under watering:

-Dropping leaves
-Leaf margins curl upwards [see picture under temperature stress]
-Leaves eventually hang completely limp and get crispy to the touch (Under watering)
-Roots rot in extreme cases (Over watering)

I was just going to say the same thing. Perhaps you got over anxious with the lockout and overwatered. Droopy plant usually stands for over watered but I've seen it happen when the PH is off also....

Ok thanks guys. I only water about every 4 days but i think its a possibility that im drowning them a bit when i do. So by rights they should react like this after a flush? Or is it caused by continuous over watering? Thanks again
