Here she is! 5 Weeks into flowering and although this is
my first time FLOWERING, I am somewhat DISAPPOINTED!
I suppose she is a SATIVA plant, due to the height, spaced
apart nodes and long finger-like fan leaves. However... At 5 Weeks
I expected more BUD GROWTH! I have a few questions
I would like answered though.....
1) Is my sativa plant growing at or about the right rate?
2)Is it too late to transplant into bigger pot?
3) Without a magnifying glass, what are other ways to know
when to harvest?
4)Is ”Alaska MORbloom” hurting or helping the plant at this stage?
5) Can I just smoke a little piece b4 its done? Lol

Please respond quickly and adequately, as I have not
really had help with this grow. FIRST TIME FLOWERING!!!

5 weeks you have some quality time left I would not suggest smoking any it won't be worth it at this stage your buds will start bulking up over the next couple weeks. too late to transplant... is it root bound??? never used that nute but I doubt it is hurting. looks good

Well she is sativa dominant, which means she could be flowering on for another 4 or so weeks, but there is definitely something going on. The pistils are retracting quite early on, I usually don't see that until towards the end of harvest, and there is some clawing going on with a few leaves.

What are your temps like and what lights are you using? I wouldn't transplant at this stage unless heavily root bound. And I would recommend more than anything that you acquire a magnifier, nothing is more accurate.

I have read the Ak. Morbloom is very good, but do NOT use it outdoors if you have any type of wildlife close by.

Sativa plants take 11 to 12 weeks sometimes maybe more, they are generally tall and lanky, smoking buds now would be useless as said, you'd be wasting it.

Temp is usually around 50-60 degrees. Lighting is
2, 100 watt cfl over the top and 1,60 watt cfl on the sides
I only ask this question because all the white hairs on the
Top buds have all browned with fewer trichomes than the
lower ones. The calxy appear to be swelling one the top
one also.
The middle and bottom ones are more pungent than the
Top also!

This is my first time flowering and to be honest, when
I planted these seeds I wasnt really serious about growing
but as the plant got taller I got more fascinated about
completing the grow
My erros have been...
Inadequate lighting(only 4000 lumens for 2 plants)
Small pots
Scotts organic grow soil(Looks like mud, stays cold and wet)
Small grow space (8x24) inches
Air flow is ok
Temp a little low

I'm guessing it will only yield a small amount. Maybe a few g's

A few grams only? Looks nice compared to mine .

Why are u expecting such a poor yield?

I grew a total shit looking plant last time and got like 2 zones off it. Yours looks way nicer and still has a month.

Im just ASSuming, due to the size of the growth after
5 Weeks!
I was also wondering why the hairs at the top are NO LONGER WHITE!?!?
The bottom hairs are still white. Its mainly the top 3 nodes or bud sites
are brown/amber!
She doesn't appear to be a hermi
The tempature gets low at night
The soil is kinda shitty to me so it May be root rot.
The roots are not comin out the bottom but I kno this
pot is too small!
I hope my plant is not a hermi!!!!!!!

adding some more light would get the temperature up for you some, me and alot of people agree 75-85F are ideal temps and more light would give just that. some other ways to do so would be simply heating up the room temperature or using a portable electric heater, be sure this doesnt go to high though above 85F and the plant starts to break down/stress

Kush /Sativa Hybrid and sad to say the flowers resemble kush and will not get much larger though it may be a very lifting powerful high in the end ........

Unless the temperature drops to below 60 at night your ok. Your only halfway done flowering don't worry so much your ladies look good. Be patient which is the most important but hardest part about growing.

The hairs ( pistils ) are turning color because the buds are maturing.

I dont see any hermi signs or root rot.

I have been able to germinate seeds and finished one grow in temps around 55 - 65 degrees. Ur good.

Well I appreciate all the help! As I've said, this is my first time flowering so there are alot of things I am still learning. As far whether it is SATIVA,INDICA OR A HYBRID I am unsure. The 2 seeds were givin to me and I was told they we're Kush seeds but upon growing and reading I learned that they mainly looked SATIVA DOMINANT due to the height, lankyness and thin fingery like leaves. I am not a botanist. There is still much I have done wrong and much more I'm learning. I mainly just wanted to complete a full grow b4 I move to ordering high quality seeds.
I hope she turns out fine. Still unsure about yield but OH WELL!!!!
Thanx!

growth is dramatically slowed down when temps reach below 62 degrees, so try to keep up your temp. Also, using the CFL's you have the advantage of keeping your lights right on your plant. three or four inches away from the most leaves on the plant will help growth and raise the temp around the plant. Real good growth in the flowering stage is usually the payoff of a good root system developed in the Veg stage. all in all, the plant looks very healthy, but just not high yielding. Also, drainage is a key part to good growth. drill a bunch of holes 2 inches up the side s of your pots along with adding more ports on the bottom for excess water to run off. drowning your roots is a surefire way of slowing growth. as for the hairs, some parts of the plant may mature faster than the rest. just harvest the main colas when ready and continue to flower the more white haired buds until they're done, probably an extra week or two
