yeah its cause your water gets stagnant and that slime is created...happens in dishwater all the time(well at least mine anyway i only do em once evey 4 or 5 days lol) But my res is ok i cange water once a week during seed and once every two week for veg. I am not sure if a little peroxide may help control it a little. I would ask someone whith more knowledge on peroxide I personally never needed it so i dont know exactly how to add it or in what incriments. Good luck

My res temp gets up there pretty high (mid 80's) and I have slimy roots in my 2 black bucket DWC/bubbler/waterfarm setups.
I let them veg for a month & now almost 2 weeks into flowering. I change the water every week, add some hydro peroxide every other day, & loads of bubbles.
But the plants are rocking even with the slime...lots of new white hairs and bud sites

It's my first grow so I don't know how big of a deal it really is. I mean, should I care?
What will happen? kill the plants? stunt the gowth? make them explode?
