Slight mold starting on the fan leaves but....
......I'm just about ready to harvest within the next two/few daze...and this is my first grow.
I tried extending the growing season and built a smallish greenhouse over my three girls and it worked great except that the leaves are just starting to get a slight white film on them. It's not totally covering the leaves but it's starting to be at least noticeable. I'm assuming thats the start of mold so I opened the flaps up to air it all out. Nice that it's warming up outside for the next few days so I can leave the flaps open during the day.
I'm thinking harvest will be ready in just a cpl more days. the trichs are "just" passing milky on one of my girls...the other looks to be a few days behind that one and the third is probably behind by 2+weeks.

What do I do about the slight white I'm seeing. It just started yesterday+- I think. I'm thinking I shouldn't wash the plants down with a hose b/c that washes the goodies off the plant..correct? Should I just let it go and keep it as aired out as possible till harvest...or gently spray down the plants outside the green house...let it dry and put em' back till I'm ready to start chopping?
PS..these photos are over a week old btw..just wanted y'all to see the temporary setup I'm talking about...and the calyxes are just about almost all shriveled up.
EDIT: I just added (the first 5) five photos I just took..
Thanks

PSS..one other question: do any of you put the entire potted plant in a dark room for 72 hours before you start chopping?
I read that it's good to do that first.
Thanks again...

it looks like some Powdery Mildew or other fungus. Do Not spray the plants, they need more air circulation not more dampness. I always harvest around milky trichs. (mostly clear to some milky = higher THC to CBN and other ratio, milky starting to amber = highest THC but some is staring to break down to CBD, CBN etc, amber = more decayed THC, or put another way clear= head feel, milky = head and body, amber= couch lock.
putting in dark room before chop raises the THC content as it peaks at end of night cycle.

yea id stop feeding them, especially so close to harvest, that way they dry a lil on their own. try lowering the humidity for the next few days. 72 hours is pretty long, ive heard as little as 24 hours of all dark. i usually go 36 hours or so.

either way, for your first grow, they look fantastic. you should be very proud.

Thanks for the advice y'all...I just (3:00 a.m.) took two of the girls that are ready and moved them into a small dark room inside where I'll leave them sit now till late Monday afternoon when I'll start their pruning. Scored me two new sets of shiny new pruners just for this occasion. It'll be a sad yet happy day if ya know what I mean.
BTW...I stated flushing them with clear clean rainwater about a week or more ago.
Spent today trying to track down ball jars. Who'd a thought they'd be so hard to find but I finally found them in a craft store of all places.
so now I sit and wait for THE moment. Been a long time pampering these girls from a mere seed.
I think the mildew powder is just on the leaves of one plant that were closest to the poly wall of my pot house..I mean hot house... Geezz...I spent almost half a day making that thing for getting another cpl of weeks of warmth...well...my girls need the very best so....!

OK...so I have some large and small ball jars...a half dozen paper bags . I'll prune the fan leaves off and most of the sugar leaves which I'll keep...hang em' in the attic till the outside is dry and the stems are still bendy but won't snap...(4-5 days) rotate the sugar leaves in a paper bag a cpl of times a day..Take em' down and fine prune them with my pointy shears and then put them in paper bags for a day..turn them gently and let em' sit in the bags another day or two.... and then jar em' for the cure.

I read somewhere where they added layers of shredded paper bags between layers of buds as they bagged the buds but I think I'll skip that shredded paper bag part. I'm thinking all the sticky icky'll get stuck to the paper. Wouldn't wanna lose any of that necter ya know : ))
So does that all sound about right?
..and my thanks go out to y'all again'n again...

Thanks comed....I'm just about at that cycle where the trichs are definitely milky and just bordering on a few scattered trichs being amber..but mostly all milky. Thats about where I thought it might be best...nice cerebral high yet just getting into that more stoned effect. I hate that doped up medicated couch lock feeling..although a tinge of that wouldn't hurt...lol...so I let my girls go a hair further than milky..but barely.

Glad you concur on putting them in a dark room for a couple of days b/c I read in several places where people skip that step but it makes sense to me to do it.. Question though...when the 2-3 days of letting them sit in the dark before the trimming can you bring the plants out into the bright light to trim or is it best to trim in a dimly lit room or at the point you're cutting limbs down doesn't it matter anymore ?
