"Sleeper" strains: Which cheap/ strains turned out to be unexpectedly good?

BLUE RHINO from Positronics is epic. Special taste and unique stone that is awesome for back pain! It blows my mind and everyone that trys it....Has anyone else had the pleasure of smoking the blue rhino?? if not than you should put it on your list of must try strains,you will not be dissappointed.

I be had ggood results and bad results in same batch seeds of the same strain. This is due tto the phenos tha exist with in that gene. Bad results with special kush. Mango bubblegum big bang. White skunk is doing great but I feel couldve done better in the vegging department

a couple years back, i was new. still am..lol. anyway, i got a ten pack of "medijuana" aka herojuana, form whitewidowseeds.com i cracked 5. all girls. the richest, dankest, hardest buded weed i have had! with five seeds left, i recently poped 3. all males. lol. that leaves two seedlings i have going now. hope one is a female. what are the odds i picked the five girls the first time? anyway, they were cheap, and other than being the worlds hardest to clone, lol, i loves em! two phenos. a dark purple one, near black, and a green one, with just a touch of purp.

you theoretically have a 75% chance that at least one of your remaining beans is another female. the odds don't depend on what you've already popped. it's statistically possible, though very improbable that you could get 10 males or females in a pack. every new seed you pop is another coin toss. getting a true 50:50 batch and popping all 5 of your fems the first grow is improbable enough. i know what you mean though, i started freaking when the first 3 of 4 malawis i popped were all males. i'd wager you have 1 of each, not a lot, but that's most probable.

if you have slightly warmer temperatures then mandala's seeds are brilliant. i've tried the safari mix twice, some brilliant phenos, spoke to the lady who works there, it's basically an open pollination between their best females and males that go into pretty much all their other strains - and i shit you not, some beautiful buds and really really REALLY hardy plants.

My friend gave me a gram! Excellent blueberry flavor and pretty potent. The only problem is that the seeds are not cheap. When I have room, I'm going to order a pack.BLUE RHINO from Positronics is epic! Special and truly unique. Try it out ,it will blow your freakin'mind. eskobar's lady cane. what a yielder. friend hit 1g/w with 2 weeks of vegging from seed. we were competing to see which of our chosen mothers were the biggest yielders with 2 weeks of veg growth. it was a sad test cause i was going organic and he was going hydro but hey my yield was about 20% less so kudos to lady cane. he only bought ten seeds and found 3 of the keeper pheno that yields like a mac truck

DNA fems are a great bargain! all 3 i've tried, sweet haze, lemon skunk (freebie actually), and sour cream were all way above average and sell for close to $10 each.
when i bought mandala's 8 miles high, it was only $32 i think, and it REALLY put a big smile only face for it's really enjoyable 24/7 friendly happy high that does nothing wrong and had no detectable energy effects either stony or racy
when i bought a pack of holy smokes' malawi gold, i think it was only $35, AND it came with 2 more as freebies along with 2 each of mulanje gold and mozambique poison! it was way more co-operative than takes forever and bitches about pot size before turning hermie highland thai. i only wish trifling neighbors didn't force me to turn my fan off in the daytime so that all my plants suffered hot spot burning the day i forgot to turn it on and had to harvest early. the smoke was REALLY nice even then though
high quality seeds' haze x skunk is STILL under $30, and is one seriously potent high that might not be quite as visual as columbian gold, but it doesn't turn stony after a month of wake and bake and is more sticky, potent and long lasting. for a potent high on the cheap, it's not shabby, and i really would like to see how it yields when it's one bud every inch or two bushy pattern is flattened out on a SCROG screen with better light penetration. that strain LITERALLY saved my life from waking up choking on beer puke every morning.
CH9's DIRT CHEAP jack (under $8 for a fem) was a plant i was determined not to like when it looked like a squat broad leaved sea of green afghani, but it was very low odor which surprised me and the buzz was truly a mid with some stone, but nothing you couldn't function on with a really potent euphoria and even a little bit of psychoactivity. had that been used instead of afghanis in the l;ate 80s, hazes would be so much better today! it's a better buzz than skunk #1/masterkush/blueberry etc. and a strain i want to use to tame saliva stretch as well as paranoia maybe. it's my idea of a good "cash cropper" strain as it's not a depressing stoner bud like most of what pollutes the streets in the name of greed

Snow Dream - Purple Caper Seed Co (bay area company) Had some of the fattest colas I have grown and the pheno variation was nice because they were all about the same size but some were more frosty some were blueberry smelling, some were just rock hard.
I was really surprised this strain cost me like 10 bucks for a 10 pack (got a deal since I was the inventory manager at that time for the collective) Dude you can find some seriously awesome shit out there you just have to give the little guys a shot every once in a while.

Couldn't believe it took someone this long to say this. Absolute killer deal on good smoke. Currently growing Special Kush and it looks to be decent also. Can't beat the price. $11 for a three pack. And they grow strong too.
