Ok another quick blast with the camera. Sorry for flash in most of the pics blocking vision lol - I just caught the lights and had the slr on the side ready, so thought may as well, better than nada:

Ref update - still not happy with the trichomes so I put her on a light 450ppm feed last night, just bloom and micro. She drunk a lot and the ppm was down to 380.. I have topped up with reverse osmosis water today and tomorrow I will inspect the trichomes again to see how to play it... Temps are officially cold now outside and its dropping a bit in the tent when lights are off causing little bits of purple to show... Not great deal can do now and its nearly done. What a ride this biaaatch has been till the very end though, hopefully it pays off! lol

Should put tinsel and decorations on it really? haha

JUST came across your thread and I'm glad I did. Also have the RP Skywalker OG going. VERY FIRST time growing this strain. My 3x3 is fn stuffed. I scrog btw, but damn she stretched like 3.5x her starting size so my canopy control was absolute shit this round, but should still be some decent smoke I think. I started flushing her last weekend and she's ripening up now. Plan on doing a MUCH better job next round for sure now that I know what to expect. Always nice to keep up with people growing the same strains. We live and we learn =)

I've never grown in soil before. She's in a 27 gallon Tuff Box. DWC with Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect. Never ran AN nutes either so this whole run was totally a learning experience. I've heard a lot of good things about the Skywalker though. You did an excellent job with your canopy man. Beautiful looking crop! We should be blazing around the same time! :D Cant wait to give her another go

Cool beans. I only asked because of the week of flushing. Only ever had to flush 3 or 4 days on hydro in my experience but I am probably wrong lol Yer Iv been growing for like 10 years nearly and I am always learning and open to suggestions on improving, but I generally don't do repeats on strains because of my setup. In March I will have 2 tents rolling so I can keep any special strains going in one of them - Blue Dream and Bruce Banner #3 are on my radar for next year but I'm playing it safe until march with a strain I know - Barneys LSD.

Thanks ref grow, it has turned out really well despite being a complicated strain... Yer should be chopping next week, hopefully something smokable for xmas even if it isnt a cured product haha

Ok people, bit annoying, but I spotted bud rot on one of the heads last night which made me harvest a little early. Iv only had bud rot twice before and the one time I tried to leave it going; I lost a lot of my plant.... Was not prepared to risk it this time. I borrowed a small dehumifier but it barely did anything.. Will start looking into decent units as top priority, but its going to be minimum 300€ to do anything I imagine - unless anyone has some suggestions on good priced and effective units? :)

Anyway, trichomes I would say were 60-75% Cloudy, 20-25% clear and few dots of amber scattered around... Probably could of gone one last week maybe for full ripeness, but it will do. Hey ho, it could of been a lot worse and at the end of the day, it has not hit me too hard. The troubles I have had with this plant from the moment it started, was kind of anticipating a final hurdle. It turned so cold too and I was not prepared for it so it was well below 20c for the last week.. Hense some purple going on.

Anyway, could not get the photoshoot in I envisioned with unplanned harvest so heres some pics off my phone I got:

Don't like guessing weights so we shall leave that to scales around xmas time. Not expecting miracles but its a solid harvest and the buds are extremely dense. Got them in another room which is a bit dryer with the dehumidier and a cheap air con unit on wall if things tip over comfort zone:

IMG_20151216_232115274.jpg

Pretty sticky mess trimming it too, couldnt find any bloody gloves lol

IMG_20151216_233639261.jpg IMG_20151216_234753940.jpg

Iv got a healthy bit of trim from all this I will try and make bubble out of later on this eve or tomorow.. Will post some pics if it comes out well!

In other bad news my puppy ate my LSD seedling when I had the incubator lid off and my back turned for about 6 seconds :( hes become a right weed bandit lol The LSD seeds I had where old ones I had in a drawer. So Im gonna have to go with something else... Has to be indica now because I am moving house in 4 months lol Iv opted for the Pineapple Chunk by Barneys. Shall be kicking it off with full attention and straight in tent/waterfarm next week!

All in all, mission accomplished (just about). Id say I lost about 4 or 5g to rot on side of one head.. Better than 50 or something! Pheew.

My old house was on the edge of the sanjoaquin. Delta with a thousand miles of waterways, fog & very high humidity so I'm no stranger to bud rot I used to keep a bucket of rock salt in my room which was 4x3 it helped if you're gonna grow pineapple chunk keep in mind barneys description is inaccurate it's very sati va dominant & the is the stretchiest strain I've ever grown to date the pics I had were lost when Riu crashed a few years ago the smoke was decent but not outstanding my worst case of bud rot was tga querkle which I would like to try in my new location as its a lot dryer here

Thats interesting. Im actually ordering tonight and going off all your previous comments.. I am now umming and arring lol. Any recommendations on a naughty quick 8 week indica? lol

Yer rock salt is a good idea, will try that on this indica grow. Its my second grow in this country still getting used to wild humidity... Its a bit up and down here, but generally it sits high (around 80%)

Ok was a really rushed effort and nowhere near enough ice. I usually get double the amount with more time, care and ice! First time had it a dark colour too, its normally sandy. I did not dry the leaves this time though which I normally always do... I am just out of smoke tomorrow night so needed something as dont have much desire to find something when I can make some smokable product! lol

IMG_20151218_162220174.jpg

I never smoke hash so not too fussed, its just nice to make the most out of your plant and have the rare treat lol. This was just from rough trim. I suspect I can do another batch on full manicure. Also have a big bag of leaves which have resin up them.... But I have plans for canna butter and some sort of christmas baking. My brownies have made me infamous amongst friends lol

Before I moved I was considering tga penny wise only downside is its non feminized
Yer needs to be feminized.. Any experience with Cookies Kush? Barneys again I know but there the easiest to get hold of in spain being distributed by Dinafem and all the growshops etc. Would love to to do HB Blue Dream but I am just worried the sativa in it will stop me being able to get my place clean for insepection on the build up to handing keys over lol

Ok guys prettty much dry now and in the curing process in sealed plastic tub at 55% humidity. Il open it once a day or if humidity goes too high. Well well well, what can I say this herbs excellent. It knocked 4 heavy smokers sideways. The high isnt quite as strong as I remembered in Amsterdam (slight pre harvest though and well thats dam weed lol) but the taste is pretty much up there with the best. I will do a full report on this in another couple of weeks when basic cure is done.

IMG_20151224_155136731.jpg IMG_20151224_155145654.jpg IMG_20151224_131547940.jpg IMG_20151224_155157440.jpg IMG_20151224_155226766.jpg IMG_20151224_155247501.jpg IMG_20151224_155328585.jpg

And the bit all waiting for......... 338g dry. Its been a good effort. Thanks for locking in, starting a new journal next week with a dehumidifier this time, so eyes peeled gonna go for the g per w! Il keep the final chosen strain to myself till the thread is started but theres some clues in previous comments and the whole grow in general ;)

Merry xmas all.

I always wanted to try dinafem blue hash I did a freebie blue widow which came out pretty good I regretted not keeping it around
Thats interesting. Iv smoked nothing good out of dinafem before and I smoke a lot of it living in Spain... Its all mediocre weed everything Iv smoked from them. Few local spanish lads keep going on about there cheese and I just giggle when they pass a spliff thinking Im going to be blown away... It is nothing like cheese my boys back home in UK are doing and not being mean just a fact. I do take your word though mate, everything you have said has been gold. so will have another look on there site.

I think being a British grower I gotta try and show these guys proper cheese... lol So I am going to get some UK cheese seeds sent over from a mate who is a pure connoseuer. they will be regular so I will get him to send as many as possible he will spare me... It will be proper big bushy 11/12 week cheese with double serated edges on the leaves.. But it will be Aprils grow this comes into effect... If for some reason I have no success with the Cheese before then, I may well go for big budha seeds Cheesus - its the only thing whats come close to the UK cheese in my experience
