Plan to give Skunk #1 a shot after my current crop of bagseed is finished. Heard that it is very tolerant strain and good for non-experts. Have read that it was bred to primarily be an indoor strain, but I'm sure you can still get fine results outdoors.

Skunk#! is way under rated IMO....Nice taste, nice balanced high.
Easy to grow...
Grows great outside, but is susceptible to mold in humid climates.

I would like to know what heritage Skunk is- indica, sativa or both? I have some Skunk #11 growing now and if I were going to choose another two strains I rather not have something similar in the high it produces. Do most Skunks share characteristics in the type of high they give?

virginharvester... your totally rightt. Im pretty sure its 75%Sativa/25%Indica, produced by (25%Afgani, 25%Mexican Acapulco Gold, Last and finest.. 50% Columbian Gold) Mmmm.. lol, which Columbian Gold was one of the finest, and smoothest weed around in the 70's.. nice and cheapp..lol but anyways im gonna cut to the point...
SKUNK#1 Is a bomb strain.. i've been growing in for about 2years now.. only cause i found out what it was 2 yrs ago.. but its amazing.. its soo stinky.. and its wierd cause some of the plants from seed are slightly different from there sisters.. andways.. i love it.. amazing yieldss, amazing highs, everything about it is pretty good.. but it all varys on the grower too so be-aware....LoL! anways im stoned.. and i probly should'nt have even posted..lol .. laterr happy new growing season..lol 09

from marijuana genetics.com:
Winner of several harvest festivals, and "High Times" Cannabis Cup. Skunk#1 (75% Sativa, 25% Indica) was originally a cross between 25% Afghani, 25% Mexican Acapulco Gold and 50% Columbian Gold. Inbred since 1978, now a stabilized homogeneous strain. Blooms with long, thick buds, varying in colour from light green to golden. Very high flower to leaf ratio. Mold susceptable the last 6 weeks of flowering. Soft and sweet aroma and a very stong "up" high. Excellent variety for indoor growing or greenhouse with darkening system. Very high yields. Easy to manicure. This variety serves as a standard against which others can be measured.
