Six 65 watt CFL's a good choice?

They 65s produce a lot of heat.. I'm workin with the 42s and they still give off a lot.. I'd do 6 42s before I'd try the 65s..

I use a 68 watt CFL from home depot and it does not give off too much heat. Its just proportional to the amount of watts you're using. The good thing is that they give off more lumens and lumens are what its all about. I would recommend that you use 6 65 watters. I wish I used that...or an HPS. Seriously HPS's give you bigger better bud

Fuck ya i wish I bought an HPS, wasted money on aerogardens, leds, 6 43 watt cfls...hps next for sure thanks for the link~!

how hot do you think it will get?

It might work, but let me ask this, how tall are your pots you plan to use? how many plants? how long do you intend to veg for? do you have a seperate veg area or are u planning on doing it with the hps all the way through?from the time they start flowering till the end they wil about triple in height, so your going to need to do a scrog or lst. how warm is the air from your intake?

Should be about ready to start LST'ing them bitches...are u growing indicas? If they're sativas then they r gonna get about 3xs taller...I'd keep the plants 2-3 inches away from the cfls too, so they dont stretch...imo.

the one in the front right looks maybe more indica. It has wider leaves. The other three are the same kind. Other than that, I don't know much more about them except they were saved from some good strains.

Woot 1st timer, I'm on my 2nd An HPS would kick azz for flowering...I flowered with CFLs and the buds were fluffy and burned fast - compared to the same strain grown under an HPS, they were harder and thicker. And ur right the one on the right does look like an indica...start lsting the other 3 sativas...theres plenty of threads on RIU to show you how to LST properly...

Delicia before topping 5-22-10( bit stretched due to being out of town for 9 days...)

Delicia topped 6-5-10, two weeks difference. Will need to top/cut the top two... they growing to fast.
