HI guys,

I'm growing under a Growlush 400w Low Bay HPS at the moment and my plants are bushy and sexeh!

However, due to a fuck up with couriers and 2 bulbs that got broken the good guys at Aussieponics.com have sent me out a whole case so now I have 3 6400k 100w (real watts) and 3 2700k 100w (real watts) in my possession.

Now I'm in veg stage and was thinking of using the CFL's the next few weeks as its a bit warm here at the minute and the lack of heat is welcomed in the tent as its sat at 30c (same as outside air temp) with my res at 28c some days,

will I get better results or should I just stick with the HPS and get a cool tube.

one of each CFL will be bathing my mother plant in light eventually to keep it.

Well, if you can get a cool tube you should do it. They are awesome. My gut says you would get better results under a hps, cool tube or no. However, the cfls are still a very viable way of doing things. Do what you think is best, I know heat damage can be worse than the gains provided by a more intense light.

Hps, no question. The yield differences are ridiculous between hps/MH and clfs. I dont even know why people use cfls? I guess if your a cheapskate, thats the only reason i could see people using them

hps..the cfl wont give u half the penetration the hps would...UR top nugs might be nice but the bottom is gonna lack unless ur gonnamove those cfls everyday..so u wont burn/starve ya plant for light..if it was up 2 ME..i would use one of the blue bulbs..and the red hps together..u should get some beautifal plants like that
