Single Seed Center MIA or KIA?

Time to look around again.

Yeah, I was ordering from them a bunch because I could get small quantities of each kind I wanted to try and from various breeders. Plus, the last few times I ordered, they shipped domestic from Cali so I didn't have to worry about customs. This new site they've "joined" with now only orders in packs and does their own breeding.

If it turns out it's the same people doing the breeding (which I see they're located in Cali like my SSC seeds were being shipped from, so that's a possibility) that's not so bad, though. I ordered some Bruce Banner seeds from SSC that were part of their collection and those plants were indestructible.

Now I'm faced with shopping around for another seed bank, and I like to order domestic but... I'm in a particular niche where I want photoperiod fems of strains I know and grew up with. You don't get that with all these domestic breeders trying to make their own strains with names nobody ever heard of. Where am I going to get my White Widow, Northern Lights, AK-47, Durban Poison, and Afghan Kush at $10 a bean now? I guess I'll be picking through what Southern Oregon Seeds has to offer now.

Huge loss for me, absolutely loved the way the site was laid out and the huge selection of breeders. Prices were hard to beat and their customer service was impeccable imo, if I had a hickup they would cover it 10 fold. I do love all the new places here and wow it seems there are as many here as there are across the pond. I've bought so much American stuff in the last yr or two that I'm wanting to revisit the old European genetics and if this new place is going to be all in house then its probably not for me. The last time I got on TSSC i noticed a lot of the older stuff was being discontinued, I'm afraid with all the legalization here and all the seed sources here hurting those European banks is going to in turn hurt us with the loss of many of those old lines. I'm wanting to get what I can before it's too late. Attitude, choice and a handful of others are really good banks but the only other bank I got the same feeling as TSSC was MidWeekSong but I've only made one purchase since the credit card crunch. Wish the old singleseedcentre would come back to us.

Why are their prices so high for typical strains too?

Hi guys, I would like to say please give us a shot. The business has changed a lot over the last few years. We are the breeder of the cultivars we stock and have done a lot of work developing a new site for homegrowers.

The decision to not sell single seeds is based purely on the logistics and fulfillment costs (i.e. it's very expensive for us to process payments and fulfill single item orders). It is something we're always looking at trying to introduce in a new novel way, whether that may be a pick'n'mix box.

Our focus now is to not just sell seeds but to provide comprehensible information on growing marijuana, with a video series hosted by Kyle Kushman and a team of writers trying to cover as many topics as possible. We always welcome feedback on these.

I would if y’all went back to the old style where y’all stocked every breeder/bank imaginable, I really miss the old singleseedcentre where you could scroll to the bottom and there was literally like 500 different breeders in alphabetical order. That was the shit, variety at its best. Miss that!
