If it is that tall that quickly under that light then she is prob stretched out . Plants get 2-3x taller the first few weeks of flower. Post a pic before you do anything and give some details on that light.

To flower the plant needs 12 hrs of light and 12 of total darkness, no light getting in. With CFL, you want to surround the plants with them, the more the merrier, and keep them as close as possible to the plant. You want mostly 2700k (warm white) with about 25% 6500k.

mj1.jpgmj2.jpgmj3.jpg it is a 150 watt reptile basking light from zoo med. it has plenty of water {about a cup a day} third row of leaves yellowish but slowly turing greener after moving my light up. and should i move this to a closet and add a fan? i wont mind the heat for a couple more months its cold now.

and if it get 2x 3x taller than it is now does that increase my production? or is the problem that it will be far to big to handle in an indoor environment?

In my opinion, those ladies are not ready. They seemed to be "stretched" or the plants are looking for more light. Taller plants does automatically mean increased yield. Depending on your light source, your light might not be getting to the plant. For instance, a CFL is only good for about 20 inches or so. So if your plant is taller than 20 inches, anything after that is waste. Also, taller plants require more care when they begin to flower. Have you heard of topping? Please inform the thread of what type of light your using. How high are you keeping it off the canopy ?

  • it is a 150 watt reptile basking light from zoo med. it is a daytime heating lamp for iguanas. as it has been growing i have been keeping it 8-10 inches due to high heat and i've hear about topping when should i top and where? could you explain from the pictures i've provided? i'm on a budget but could get a better light if it was absolutely necessary, this plant was a transfer from outdoor at about 2 inches tall one set of leaves. i have it in mirical grow soil and keep it lit 24/7 i don't understand the tech light names so if you could give me a brand and specific light it would help tremendously. thank you

I would go to the local home depot and pick a CFL bulb ( 11 dollars, 2800 lumens) It doesn't give off much heat. You can literally let the plant grow into it. It is in a green and white package. 150 watt. Made by ecosmart. If your using CFLs, i would use as many as possible. Second, I would put the plants on a 18/6 cycle. I only use 24 for my clones and sick plants. It gives a break and allows the roots to grow. What is the purpose behind you growing?

no real purpose it just kinda popped up in the yard and i don't want it to die. I tried when i was younger, but i didn't have any patience. Do you think 4 would be enough? and if so would i put them all around it or on top.? and Thanks dude

i'm using regular gardening pots. idk i can take a pic if i need to. it drains thru the bottom. and if i use 2 or 3 lights, should i put them above it or around and above it?

Hey, Sorry for the delay in response. I would put one one top and two on the sides /-\. What kind of soil mix are you using? Did you line the bottom of the pot with moss or anything? Did you use perlite? By the way, how are the ladies?
