I'm balls deep in my grow and I'm having regrets on not topping and training 2 of my crown royales, there close to 8 feet tall with another 4 weeks of veg left. (obviously this is all done outdoors) I'm just wondering if anyone ran a strain side buy side outdoors one trained and topped and one just left to grow like God intended. Which produced more/ was there a big difference? Hopefully I didn't cut my yield by to much.

You could leave it go and get a HUGE top cola. They do look awesome.

Its not to late to top either, but dont go to much longer. (you could top every branch if u wanted to)

You could tie the top of the plant down towards the ground and get more bud sights to (very basic LST). be carefull winds could snap her this way though.

Very nice lookin plant!

I think I'm going to top all the secondard branches and leave the top cola, I have 3 sour diesels that and topped, supercropped, snapped, tied down, bent outta shape lol and they are huge bushy plants with 24-30 top shoots. Just wanted to see how big I could grow a plant. Hopefully doesn't hurt me in the long run.

i wouldn't top the secondary branches. in my experience it'll hurt your yield.

No ....and if I were you I would be doing it now......top the top and clone it then "pinch"the lower tops thus allowing the lower nodes to fill out.......do this and you will increase your yield exponentially......

I top once then fim like mad on every top once they've developed,
I usually do too I have 3 white widows and 2 are under a 3foot by 8 foot scrog and they basically have it 3/4 filled out by the end of veg I'm gonna have 18inch tops out the top of the scrog. I also have 3 sour diesels that are big bushy beautiful plants, I just don't wanna lose ounces because I didn't top these 2 crown royals,

As for your original question ....yes training and topping etc a plant into a nice bush with many tops in her canopy is going to yeild more than just letting it grow naturally into a pine tree looking plant ......but some the biggest buds I've ever seen have come from plants that were left to grow naturally ....wich it's cool to have and see a giant cola from time to time .....but then you got to watch for rot super close on those massive colas especially in wet areas ....good luck happy growing
