Simultaneous grow

Hello, every one!
So, I started my new season of indoor growing with an attempt to simultaneously grow Dark Devil Auto from Sweet Seeds (my previous experiences) and Durban from Sensi Seeds.
The plan is to veg Durban until I will harvest an auto and then switch to 12/12. I will veg Durban for around 9 to 12 weeks and want to try mainline it and super crop to keep it low.

Any advises and opinions are appreciated!

What aize pots are those? Look big for seedlings always ramp up from smaller to larger.

I have only 15L pots. Works fine with autos. May be will not go so well with light dependent. But it's already to late.

It's been a while since my last post. I had to fight through the germination of photo dependent seeds. None of three Sensi Seeds' Durban did break the soil. All of them germinated, but after going in soil they just died. Such a disappointment. Same happened to my last seed of Dark Devil Auto.

Now I am growing +Speed from Sweet Seeds and Psico Lemon from Cimarrón Semillas Uruguayas (Sativa hybrid with 13 to 15 flowering weeks). My auto is about 4 weeks old and is starting to flower right now. Photo dependent just broke soil.

So, as it is my first photo dependent grow suggestions and advises are much appreciated.

has anyone had one of there dark devil plants look nothing like the others I have the sws38variety and one of mine are green and crummy looking to the other 6 dark devils that are proper looking?

Check this out i guess i got one of the 10% that dont have purple. My strain is SWS38. crazy they are from the same seed pack. just a slight change in the dna.

It could happen time to time. On earlier stage of strain development that happened quiet often, as I know. Not that much anymore.
I messed up my last seed as well.

Probably due to inappropriate storage. Maybe I will buy photodependent from red series.

From my experience Auto has at least 2 to 3 weeks left before it will be ready for crop. Any advice on keeping mainlined plant short before I switch to flower? Should I lollipop my photodependent up to second/third node and perform a "super crop"?

Harvested my auto. Photodependent is going 12/12 tonight.

If someone tells you that aotus can not produce decent buds show them this.

Those were a long way from being ready to chop. Any reason why you pulled those?

Hello. I am just learning right now and I was wondering how you got that mainline plant to start like that? Sounds dumb,but, I have no idea?

My Auto gave me 36 grams (1 and 1/4 oz). Now buds are curing in a jar at perfect 62% Rh.

In last 2 weeks my photo dependent plant doubled the size and it is feeling up grow box. Any advice on how to keep it from growing higher, cause she will reach my lamp soon?

Small update on the grow. On week 3 to 4 plant kicked ass and reached the light. I had to super crop to main colas to keep them under the light. Pure sativa, though.
6 weeks since flip, plant is slowly budding. Not even half-way through. :wall:

Nicely done and although no one answered you I see you found the solution for reaching the lights, super cropping. Anyway keep up the great work and don't harvest this one to early. When you think she's is in the harvest window take a look at her trichomes with a handheld scope and see percent of clear/cloudy/amber trichomes on the buds. Then snip off a test bud, quick dry and smoke it. The smoke will taste awful and will be harsh. You are looking at the high profile. If you like that you are done. If you don't do this again next week and repeat until you get it where you want. Matching trichomes of this strain to smoke will allow you to better evaluate your plants as they reach the harvest window.

One caveat from my experience some sativa strains trichomes remain clear so take a test bud even before you see any cloudy. Based on your plants habit I doubt you will have that issue. It usually happens when a plant demonstrates a more vine like habit.

Well it's obvious that those Durban seeds were viable as they did germinate. Had you skipped the paper towel nonsense and put them straight into soil you would have likely grown three Durbans to harvest. Seeds germinate just as well in damp soil as they do in a damp paper towel. The paper towel is an unnecessary step. It's too bad because I have grown Sensi Durban and it's a great strain. I liked it so much that I'm using it for a breeding project I'm working on. Live and learn.

I had 3 seeds germinated in different ways: one straight in soil in big pot, second straight in soil in small pot and third with paper towels. All three gave a tap root, but none made a sprout.

Yes, trichomes are tricky some time. My first photo dependent grow, with autos it's a bit different.

Another update. 7,5 weeks in since flip. Pistils turned orange on most of the plant. Smell gets stronger and starts to have a lemony note.

Maybe I need to use some yo-yos because colas are getting heavier and bend.

In between watering my lamp slipped a bit towards tops and burned a couple of buds. Probably will use them for the 4.20 as they ruined any way.

So, 10 weeks from going to 12/12 cycle. Here i a crappy photo of a calyx. I think in 4-5 weeks it may be ready for harvest. A bit late for the month of 4.20, though.
