fox farm ocean forest may be too hot for your seedlings and afterwards you can use the general hydroponics brand maxi grow and maxi bloom each are under 10 and very basic but good nutes, afterwards you can move up to the 3 part general hydro (this is for soil as well)im planning on starting my first grow here soon. i plan on using fox farm ocean forrest potting soil. does anyone know of a few SIMPLE nutes i could add to my grow? i want to keep it plain n simple and organic.
thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply
If you want to keep things truly organic you cant use any chemical nutrients. Organic means you mix bat guano, or worm castings, coco coir, or compost in with your soil and the plants feed off them (there's a lot of options). There are alot of different soil recipes. If this is your first grow it would probably be easier to just get chemical nutrients because they are easier to regulate. Just remember to flush your soil periodically and especially before harvest.im planning on starting my first grow here soon. i plan on using fox farm ocean forrest potting soil. does anyone know of a few SIMPLE nutes i could add to my grow? i want to keep it plain n simple and organic.

I use Floura Nova. The guy at the hydro store (who grows a shitload of stuff other than weed and knows his shit) recommended it so i tried it on some of my house plants first and the results were noticeable within a day of using it.
Its great for soil Ive never had any ph problems or nute burn whatsoever even when i might have put to much.
It comes in two bottles, there's a grow bottle and a bloom bottle. When you switch your lights over to 12/12 you switch over to the bloom bottle and it will help to chemically trigger flowering by adjusting nutrient levels.
I really like the stuff its reasonably priced too. 1 of the small bottles will last you a couple grows.
You can also use it for hydro but its kinda salty so its better for soil or your shits gonna clog up.
a flush is where you rinse the soil of all the chemicals. Normally when you water you just want to put just enough to get all the soil wet. When you flush you pour gallons and gallons of water through the soil and let it drain.thanks im gonna try and find FloraNova Grow and Bloom. now when you say to flush my soil periodically how often are you talking about? and how many waterings is considered a flush?
