How long does silica take to start working?
How often should someone add silica?
Whats the most efficient use of silica, in other words whats minimum dosage to be effective?
Is it bad to add silica every watering and feed?

Immediately but to thicken your stems the right way bend them by hand once per week
Every watering it should go in first and also it's great to buffer RO water so that you can drop Cal Mag
I use the reommended dossage I have no fear of Silica
I cut it out past 3 weeks into flower when the plants start becoming really demanding and also since I don't need an offset for such acidic nutrients.

edit: changed mid to 3 weeks into flower. that's when i stop when i stop veg nutes

interesting... I added some the first time yesterday with Cal-mag for watering my veg plants. Looked at them this morning and noticed a difference already, looking more lush.

There are loads of silica products and application rates vary. I find OSA28 works for me but here is some some good info on Agsil which is quite popular. Note that pH is base and that many silca products are loaded with K. Avoid throwing your Ca/K ratios off by overusing potassium silicate.

Osa 28, what a crock of utter horse shit!!!!!! I'll stick to my 19.00 bottle of protek. I sc a nice stem and it literally exploded when I used osa. Never again.

Dude no need to talk out your ass. Like i said osa works great for me. My stems feel petrified and have no issues supporting big solid nugs

Protekt is simply potassium silicate. Same as plenty of other silca products like agsil and vansil. Protekt is like 25x more costly than agsil. Also if your soil isnt tested and youre adding in all that K you might be doing more harm than good. Its isnt as if silicon is absent and unavailable in fresh soil.

Ill put up a pic of a vibrant kali mist supercropped AF , fortified with osa and set to yield maximum.

No, like the stem .exploded when I pinched it. This had happened to numerous growers who use osa 28 and supercrop.
