Side stems

I have a plant that has been growing for almost 2 wks now and it just has the stem coming out of the pot and 4 leafs on the top and no side stems coming out, is that normal and if so how long does it take before side stems begin to grow? Ive read the Uncle bens toppings technique but really didn't understand it because of the terms they where using, if someone could break it down for me I would appreciate it

Mine has 4 leaves on top. 2 of the leaves look like marijuana leaves and the other 2 are just round leaves. U cut the 2 that look different or all four? sorry but i wanna clarify it before i do it because this is my first one

2 weeks old is to young to be toping. 6500 K (Daylight) light will make side shoots show much faster.

Ok preciate both replys. Ive heard that putting a lemon slice in the soil helps with the pH level is dat true?

it would help if it was to high I guess, your playing with fire when you start throwing shit in your soil for no reason though.

I had just heard that from a friend hadn't tried it yet. How early in the life do u start to add nitrogen to the soil. i have a box of miracle grow plant food that i haven't used yet? and ive heard to use it once a wk

yeah your ready for nutes now. I feed every second watering at 1/4 strength (one teaspoon per gallon of water)

water/feed only after the soil is almost bone dry, water heavily till it runs out the bottom to flush the soil of leftover nutrients and peat humic acid (if that's what your soil is based on.
