I have one plant in my grow where all of the smaller buds are ripening while the main cola continues to grow. Checked trichomes yesterday and they are 85% cloudy, rest are clear. 95% pistols have receeded. I figure they will be ready soon. Maybe 5-10% pistols have receeded on the main cola, all tric's are clear. Would there be any disadvantage to harvesting all of the ripe side buds first and letting the main cola phatten up? Barely any pistols have receded on the main cola and it's really swelling, so I don't want to cut the main cola for another two weeks at least...
