Sick plant can’t tell what it is

Oh okay it’s the abundance of mag. On the other hand you agree with the other guys are saying that buffered coco and dry amendments aren’t the best medium?

Yeah it was literally fine yesterday and I check today and it’s like that. I added the fertilizer January 14

Yes, definitely agree there. Coco is a dream pairing with liquid nutes and automated watering, not so much dry amendments. Coco is like a tephlon coated sponge. You can just wipe it clean and start over with each fertigation. Every set up has its advantages. And disadvantages.

Prebuffered coco doesn't mean it is buffered like soil - it is prebuffered to keep calcium cation exchange because it is an inert medium …. So as you continuously water thru it without maintaining this important balance - things happen.

You would have been better off running it as hydro.
Using salts instead of granulated “ soil “ fertilizers.
DTE fertilizer is designed for soils that have organic elements to be broken down over time - where as coco and salt based hydro nute will keep the important calcium / magnesium balance as it was when it was prebuffered. Bonding of those elements to the coco.

The cation exchange sites in coco will strip the nutrient solution of the Ca and Mg and replace those cations with Na and K. This creates a sub-optimal Nutrient Element Ratio (NER) and renders Ca and Mg unavailable to the plant.

As stated before - coco / dry fert grows createtoo many variables.

You would have been in a better place if you started your grows in soil or Coco as Hydro.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense I’ve been reusing my coco for a couple runs now. I want to keep things organic I just don’t know any good soils to start with..you got any recommendations?

Then it's more than likely depleted, but still too much n. You are at a crossroads my friend. Switch to liquid, or switch medium. It would be a pain in the ass to run a tea through Coco every day. And the smell would get horrendous.
 
If you already use ewc, leave the dry nutes, if you put enough ewc from the start you can finish your grow on only water if the pot size is big enough.
In the worst case, you just add some ewc to the top of the pot once a week and water.
When you start mixing all sorts of nutes you create unbalanced NER, and that roots don't like.

Coco with only salts is in my opinion the best way to get consistent results, I like to add ewc because it has so many elements salts don't, and it does have a profound effect on terps/smell etc.

Damn brotha you got me thinking, I was debating on weather to feed my flower plants that day 48 and almost done, I fed them yesterday I might go in and remove the top layer and throw some more coco and ewc

A lil splash of ewc never hurts, make sure they are moist and fresh, dry ewc is mostly dead.
I feed until the end, no matter salts or ewc, I just try to give ewc more than salts as I feel it's more complex nutrients source, and also when I water, like 12 hours later the plants trichomes just get boosted with size and smell.
