Sick clones

So a buddy of mine is going to be getting me some clones from a dispensary and saving them for me, but he doesn't have lights for them. He will have them unlighted for max 4-5 days. In anticipation I am wondering what I will need to do to recover them from 5 day darkness?

No expert here but i couldnt imagine that you could save those. In order for cannabis to grow it needs at least 12 hours of light per day, at least 18 hours for healthy growth.

To grow yes, but I wouldn't imagine that fully rooted clones would completely die off after 5 days of no light. I mean what happens when theres a week of overcast rain in nature?

they will be fine, I once forgot about a bunch of clones because i had about 75. I left them in a dark closet with NO water No light No air circulation for more then one week. Some of the leaves withered, but when watered and given light, they were beautiful and the same size as the others at flowering time.

I just called him, I guess the guy he is getting them from clones in an aero cloner, so they will be bare roots. What would be the best way for them to be stored those 5 days and when I get them will it be safe to plant into dirt or should i get coco?

im not positive but i dont believe roots can go 5 days being bare without moisture but my personal advise would be just to have your friend plant them and then you just pay him back for planting supplies because with those roots getting so dry it seems like they might die and thatd be a waste especially if you have to buy them

what if he wraps them up with like wet paper towels and puts them in a plastic baggie? Like just the roots I mean

im not sure what kinda nutes you got but as soon as you get clones plant them and spray them down with something for a light feeding to the leaves and to moisten them back up

no bad idea. dont wrap the roots up. Hasnt he got a normal room light to prevent them from going into pre flower after 5 days 24hrs dark?
