I appreciate your talking this one out.

I am trying to go perpetual and know that I will need to treat
my flowers eventually.

I am using Fertilome, hard, before they go into the tent. This seems
to be working, so far.

Good luck,

JD

Sup dog?!

Good choice to treat before flower whether you see evidence or not. Mites can reek havoc on a perpetual garden because I prefer to not shut it down! Got to keep that shit flowing, you know! Putting a new plant into a known infestation minor or major is irritating as hell.

I hit the veggers at least once per week with either neem or chili pepper spray recently, spraying all around the box as well including the pots and tops of the soil. I think I'm going to go chili pepper spray and mighty wash for the flowering plants to see if I can nip this in the bud again. I swore they were gone (this time), those resilient little emefferz! I ordered a gallon of SNS 209 and will bump it a bit over the recommended dosage for a minute to see if it helps. $100 bucks for a gallon and I've been using 60 ML per 8 gallons of water for drench.

Veggers show no evidence at all, but those boxes are also substantially cooler and probably running higher humidity as well.

Thanks Shwag, good stuff.

It does seem that the best plans use a variety of approaches,
including neem and other oils.

Anything that will not harsh my plants I will consider.

The Rosmeric Acid idea is intriguing as well.

I am thinking that perhaps a 24 hour hang, with venting off,
of 5-6 Hot Shot strips might be the only real solution when one
is far along in flower.

They are controversial, but another grower went so far as to have
samples tested and the results did not indicate that there was any
uptake by the plants. It is a gas and not an aerosol which we know
would leave deposits.

Really, I have not have a bad borg attack in the tent yet. ...just a
gnat-saster when I changed to Kelloggs Patio Plus when I was
still using smart pots (read: swamp)

Good luck,

JD

I've used the Hot Shots and liked them. Thanks for the reminder I will hang a couple in each flowering tent to boot. I can't use them in the veg tent tho, probably not good for Izzy the liz!

I went to spray flower tent at lights out this am and the elbows on my tent failed during the night. Plats were not happy and I spent the entire morning cleaning and repairing. They're pretty stressed and I lost a few colas from burning. When I was done cleaning and repairing I hit them with mighty wash. Hopefully they bounce back, they were looking really nice!

Damn....that sucks!

I see some slight buckling of my main struts.

I want to hang panda film, to use all of my room's height, and
this motivates me.

Good luck dealing.

If you see any type of stress on the cheapo elbows that come with most tents def get them replaced asap. I was a douche and only did the front 4, looks like I paid the price lol. The replacement ones I ordered are MUCH beefier and will definitely hold the extra weight of the hood, fan and filter better.

Yeah i bought both of my tents used off craigslist for the low. 50 for a 2x4x5 and 75 for a 4x4x6.5

They had the plastic thin corners and since i spent less than i would on 1 tent i figured i could spare the money for some new ones.

I got 8 new ones for the 4x4 that were super beefy and took the pretty nice ones off the 4x4 and put em on the 2x4x5 which had very flimsy and cracked corners.

And for around 150-175 i feel like i got a deal on 2 tents.

Hope they bounce back soon!

A quick shot of Alaskan Ice - WW x Haze. Its the first time I've ran her and I think I found a keeper. I popped one seed which ended up a female. She grew with vigor and stacked some nice colas. Sturdy stems to support some really nice bud weight, I think they will hold up with the ring. Using super soil and light nutes (Jacks 20/20/20 and 10/30/20) + calmag every 2 or three feedings. The little lady in the 1 L airpot is C99. First one I finished of this srain and just popped a clone in to see how she looks. Not so perpetual right now, everything seems to be out of sync but the tents are full so I should have some more updates coming soon.Good day!

Haha! It was from the seed fairy too. I've gotten a few nice ones from there. Taste is big on my list too, but resistance to pests, ease of growth and monster dank colaz.... Yeah I like those too lol.

Do you like any berry strains?

The only berry that I have grown out yet was the Cannaventure PurpleBerry BX II.

It was beautiful:

but the taste and the potency were not spectacular.

I am kinda going for Lemon right now. :0)

Sour Cherry sounds delicious too. My first is in the tent, as
of a few days ago.

Take care,

JD

Oh man, she is lovely! I'm a sucker for the purps or purple hues in the sugar coated foliage.

But yeah that seems to be the issue, some of the purpling strains look and smell great but leave us wanting in potency and flavor. Jackberry is a decent one from Sannies. Anothe rnice purp I've done is Killing Fields. I never ran it enough to dial it in, but the potency and flavor were spectacular. Awesome through the vap or puffing doobs.

I think theres a shot of it somewhere in this thread, her foliage yellowed up on me and she wasn't taking up nutrients like she should have. A sacrifice I make to run so many strains I suppose, it takes a while to dial some of them in and see what kind of medium and food they prefer, you all knooooooooow!

Oh I know this. I am fighting to get my Purple Wreck to
not be SO DAMN PURPLE. I mean purple stems, branches, etc

It is pale and seems to want less of something. I already
cut back and it seems to be improving.

My LA Con got a bit blue, and would've gone further except that
I have my "day" at night.

Good luck,

JD

I just mixed up (1) gallon of water, 2 TBS of ground cayenne pepper and a drizzle of dawn dish soap. Too much red pepper or is this good? Its pretty dark!

I'm going to let that sit for 24 hours and sift through cheesecloth or a coffee filter. The first time I made it I didn't filter it and it clogged up my garden sprayer!

How does this sound to you guys that are using this method? Thanks fellas!
