Shutting off fan and light simultaneously w/ cool tube.

3 Questions:

- I just got a new cool tube reflector. I'd like to know if it's ok to shut off my fan at the same time as my light, or if should I buy two timers so my fan can run for 20 min after my light shuts off? This is my bloom set-up. I have a 400W hps and a 280 cfm inline fan, the cool tube is 6" dia.

- How far can I place my light from the top of my plant? I'm growing scrog 16" x 24" one plant, and about to flip to 12/12 in the next few days.

- Is it necessary to clean the cool tube with 100% isopropyl alcohol if it's been touched as applies to the hps bulb itself?

i have the same..well two cool tubes connected and both lights and fan turn off at the same time.

u can get really close to the plant with the cool tubes..if its warm to the touch then u can put it pretty close

uhh yea a clean bulb n clean tubes is good..but i dnt know bout the cool tube itself jus the bulb.

Thanks. What do you use to filter the air for dust before it passes over the bulbs?

you can get an in line filter box to sort out the dust - as for the fan, buy a carbon filter to take away the smell and leave the fan on 24/7 to supply fresh air and do away with any smell.

always best to blow through the cool tube light rather than suck.

i have a inline fan..and i was in a box wit a screen in it. i just leave on tille bulbs turn off. i have another fan supply fresh air.
