Tell us about this strain. Was it from a breeder?
Did you clone? WHY is it YOUR most prized?
:eyesmoke: Please describe characteristics/bud type and SMELLS .

I have 5-10 keepers at the moment. But if I HAD to narrow it down to ONE and keep her around... it would be The Hoof #4.
She was a pack from Scapegoat/ThugPug collab.
I picked it up because a greenhouse flower company near me (Monterey Co.) would sell The Hoof and it was one of my favorites before growing.
In veg she grows faster/ in my cloner she roots faster/ in flower she stacks hard!
I ran 5 different phenos from seed and this one out performed in all im looking for.
I still hunt seeds and have yet to find a comparable pheno/strain.
The end result are golf ball sized nugs that are frosty and dense!
She smells very stenchy!! Like an armpit and a skunk had a baby (the hoof) and it pulls through when you smoke it.
The smoke is instant head change followed by a heavy body/couch lock.

Too many to count. Lots of one and dones. Thinking back many would have been nice to save but something else will always show up. The only stuff I grow these days are crosses I make or landraces I'm preserving and also making crosses with.

I could never narrow down anything to one strain as I have so many that I've never grown. I'm always growing something new. The only strain I've grown consistently over the last 5 or so years is Night Nurse because it really helps put me to sleep during bouts of insomnia.

I also only grow from seed and only clone to make feminized seeds which just requires 2 clones. I haven't kept a mother plant in 15 years.

Thanks for sharing how you do it! I really like your approach. Everything out there ties back to landrace genetics and that's where the diamonds are to be found when it comes to finding genetics. Never heard of night nurse but it sounds like a heavy hitter! How are the terps? Buds? Any Pics?

The Night Nurse I grow initially came from a pack of free seeds I got from Sensible Seeds. I think there are a couple versions called Night Nurse from different outfits. It might not be the highest THC but it works when I need it to so I see no reason to change what works. I've had issues with insomnia all my life and it's one of the few things that actually brings me relief. I crossed it with some CBD God and now it's even better. I call that Night God. I want to cross that with an Ethiopian to try and add a decent level of THCV. I'm designing a strain for myself with the characteristics that I want. High levels of CBD and THCV are traits I'm looking for. I'm happy with THC levels of 15-18%. Moist high THC strains lack other qualities I am after.

I have only been growing for a couple years. Still learning & discovering something new each time. I do have cuts/moms of each plant from 2 runs ago. Have only run one of them for a second time. I have 2 clones in solo cups, 1 plant in a 7g potato planter outdoors & just jarred up the last run.
Strain: Night king x Lurch
Breeder: Thug pug/secret society seed co
Nose: funky fuel, lemon
Taste: hints of citrus, fuel, menthol type feel on the exhale.
Effects: Heavy on the eyelids after a few hits. Everything you’d expect from an indica. Hard hitter. Ability to focus remains. Creativity peaks (you’ll think so at least) lol
I’ve flowered her out twice so far.

2nd round she was a bit larger.

Im sure I will run across others, but for now.. this one is staying in rotation.

Wow!! Those tops look incredible. And the frost looks stellar!
I’m missing a good funky fuel type of flower.
I’ve always wondered about the Lurch collabs thug pug did. I may have to explore a pack of two myself. :hump:
@HydroKid239
My old seed plug gave me 1 bean out of the pack & sent it with some auction wins on IG.. I popped it & this is what I got. Couldn’t be happier. Just transplanted a cut outside into a 7gal potato pot.

She’s looking healthy and ready for flower. :weed:
Is that a greenhouse you have?
It’s more of a sauna than anything, but yes lol. The heat out there lately has them in their feelings on some days. I have an extraction fan in there doing nothing from what I can tell, and a box fan suspended from the roof that blows breezes warmer than freshly passed gas

I'm growing some Frostberry from Lucky13 Seeds. I grew 2 regular seeds and got 2 females. They got planted late April and I had mold starting on one branch of the purple one and chopped early. It's getting even wetter so if it's molding now it would be nasty if left to grow. The white one is growing bigger and no mold so she gets to keep going. I don't really use underarm deodorant for the smell which isn't strong now :-) but it gives an idea of the size of the bud.

The purple plant actually started bud in late June which impressed as well as the size of the buds and plant. I did get cupped leaves on the purple version but other than that these have been a really easy grow.
