yes, the branches on the very top will always be main colas... not sure how many others will pop up tho... i usually top at the 4th and end up wit 8, but i lstd this babe and have 14 now, so you may just end up with a killer bush off fat secondary colas. post a pic and ill give you some more info. my lst is in this thread a few pages back

They grow more slowly, but usually more dense and compact.
no not really

i dunno man, mine alway grow just as fast as and normal. depends on the strain, like anything else. some can handle the stress better. also depends on what and how you feed them, type of lighting, overall conditions, and the age at which you top
much agreed, like i said a few posts back.

hey question, i topped at the 12th node out of 13 1/2 total, the branches in the node are growing and im LSTing the side branching too, will the 2 branches from the node that i topped grow to be 2 colas?
reffacheefa gave you a good anwser, but when and after you top you should tie the 2 new main shoots over to make them the same height as the secondary branches if not lower. this way you will have a even canopy instead of 2 main shoots an a lot of low side branching

How would these strains respond to topping and LST'ing?

RP OG Kush
DP Strawberry Cough
DNA Sour Cream
DNA Sour Kush
Paradise Sensi Star

I've heard some strains don't like to be topped(chronic due to huge main cola) but I don't see a reason to ever not LST.. It can only be good imo especially with two 400w lights

* - Oregonpotfarmer what's the reason for LST outside? To keep your plants below the wind guard thing? You know sun doesn't lose intensity at different heights

i have no clue on any of those, and yes some like certain things better, mabye look the strains up online at a seed bank and read those some times they have what they do best with, like topping, lst. or just letting it grow as a single cola.
i agree though you should be fine lsting any plant. wish icould help more

here goes my plant, and you can see how i tied it down with some yarn
youre still going to want to lst the top part of the plant other wise all the lst below is gonna be way below the main branches, ot you could take a few more nodes off

Im also from southern oregon. i havent started a jurnal yet but working on it. these pictures are a couple weeks old. ill take new tonight and post later. thanks

well i know LSTing increases a yield, so with my plant, if i keep making it go lower, will it continue to increase yiled chances

true that dude, and to clear something up to myself. a seed is basicly sex neutral right? meaning seeds arent already males or females (unless femenized) right? its just on how you nuture and tend to the plant right?
