Walmart makes me feel better about the upcoming civil war. They can't even wear fucking shoes. A pile glass on the ground would defeat the flip flop and crocs brigade.

I wear flip-flops in Walmart. (Nice thick ones.) But I also shower (at home).

walmart is the one place i won't go without a gun in my pocket...it's like going into a pack of hyenas, they may be laughing and smiling, but what they're laughing and smiling about wouldn't make you laugh or smile

Can’t here. I live in the desert corner of a county that has a larger city with a county sheriff who only signs for special need; general self-protection is not a valid reason for a permit.
I’m realizing that for the fortyish years I’ve almost always had a good knife in my pocket, I never had to draw it as a weapon. It helps that I avoid what i can only describe as harsh-vibe locales. Discretion and valor.

i try to do the same, but i live in a fucking weird place. this is a big tourist area, and we get people from all over the country, with an emphasis on the south east. a lot of plates from Ohio and Mich, but most are from Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, N. and S carolina, with more than a few from Texas Oklahoma, Arkansas...it seems like a very volatile mix to me, and i'm just waiting for someone to piss someone else off, in a crowd, someone fires, some one else fires...ten morons who want to be that "hero with a gun" turn into ten fools who killed each other...and about twenty other people who were unfortunate enough to be there...so i avoid going into that when it's not necessary, but life requires occasional outings.
