see how you've still got a lot of hairs, pitstils, that haven't yet receded back into the bud yet? that's number one sign to me they're not ready.. first, they'll start to shrink a bit and change color, then they're mostly fully recede back into the buds. i like to wait until most of them have all fully receded before i think about chopping..
once a plant matures, it's hard to put into words, but once you've seen it, there's no mistaken it.. the plants almost take on an amber color, and they'll just scream that they're ready to come down.. once again, yours aren't there yet... they look killer, northern lights 5 is a classic for a reason, just don't rush the harvest, it'll be worth it..

Yea I’ve been smoking it for years and just always find myself going back to it..

Yea so I won’t be cutting until mid November, mostly because I’m traveling and wouldn’t be around for the critical process of drying them and starting the curing process.

Waiting was the right call. I cut this past Sunday, today’s dry weight....

704.12g / 24.83oz/ 1.55 lbs

For my first attempt at going big, not bad.. not bad at all!
