should I veg with a MH light or a T5?

Hey everyone. I am starting a 2 plant scrog grow. I am just about to start buying my stuff. I will be growing in a 3x2x5 tent. So my question is this. Should I use the MH light with my system to veg or should I use a T5 light just for vegging? The light I will be using is a dimmable 150/250/400watt. I will be growing in coco coir. I will be using 3 gallon pots.
 
MH. Start out at 150w for the first few days then to 250 and finally 400 so you don't burn them up. That is how I always go about it with my grows and never had any issues with burning my girls up at seedling. Cant go wrong with HID!
 
Hell you could even start them under a T5 the first week or two if you are worried about roasting em. But like I said I always start out MH turned down and gradually increase wattage. Happy growing!
 
if you have a mh hanging I wouldn't bother taking it down to hang a t5.

I would take the t5 down if I had the option of a more powerful mh
 
ok thank you everyone for your replies. I was asking because I still have to buy everything. So I did not want to have to buy a T5 and my other light too. Just trying to save alittle money if I can.
 
you can also run those t5 12 hours and run the mh for 12 hours tur one off and the other on . this works very well as well and much better on the electric the mh grows the plant a lot faster I do this all the time who can afford 2 or 4 1000 watt lights in the veg running 24/7 ,

Thank you for the reply. Well my light that I am buying comes with both MH/HPS bulbs. So thats why I was asking if I should just veg with the MH that comes with it. Or should I buy a small T5 for vegging.
