Should I use this light??

Also there are sooo many bulbs to choose from what name or brand should i go with? Will any brand fit that hood?

PS Can i use a mh bulb with this setup also?

cant go wrong w/ a lumatek ballast. you could save $30 or so by going to ebay.
any brand of bulb should fit the hood
as to bulb brand, many will tell you to buy the most expensive brands availible,i used to play that game & found slightly better results than basic bulbs but not worth the money,IMHO. just found this a month ago & seems good so far

my room its about the same size i use a 400w lumitek mh/hps ballest.Sometimes i have trouble w/temp depending on temp out side.600w would be better it u have a good way to control heat.

I use the same ballest only 400w. Pick up ballest,hood,cordset and mh/hps bulbs. Paid 220.00 w/free shipping.

If you can afford a Eye Hortilux bulb i'd go for it. I have one Eye Hortilux and one Sylvania and i can tell you the Eye bulb has a nicer blue'ish spectrum and looks brighter by the eye.

Ive got another question. Should I get a 400w mh for veg then switch to the 600w hps for flower? My ballast will do both so I just have to switch bulb. THX Everyone that has helped me.

the 600 i think is a switchable balast do a bit more searching and you can find the balast two lights one hps one mh the hood but a regular one in a 600w style for a few bucks more and i am sure they are not the best bulbs in the world but will get you through your first op. also check to make sure that they are selling the complete balast with all the wires some places sell the wire to the light separate!

opps sorry that's only 240 v mh and hps but see what i mean has bulb and cool tube reflector for 100 bucks more thant you looking just for that balasat

I already bought the hood and ballast. I was wondering if i should veg with 400w mh then flower with 600w hps? I bought the eye hortilux 600w hps.

if the ballast you bought can do both i would just buy the mh bulb for you 600. also which eye did you get the super blue or the eye hortilux ( which i have and seem ok) opps just re read lol sorry .
but if you were going to get a 400 i hear son agro 430 is pretty decent lots of ppl have recommended it when i was looking.
also i have been hearing alot about ceramic bulbs with good results. it would work if that what you were wondering and work good 400mh for veg and 600 for flower. and if money is not the object you can get another mh bulb with 10000 degrees kelvin for last two weeks improves resin an taste
