SHOULD i use only blue spectrum cfls for vege. or both

well i found a couple soft white lights and was wondering if adding it with the daylight bulbs would help a plant grow ? or should i use only the daylight and sometimes soft white ... or all the time daylight?
thank u

if u add more lumens from either cool white(6500k) or warm white(2700k) it will help the plant grow / flower .
in general speaking , more lumens at the right spectrum = more grow .

BUT , for grow u would want a more blue'ish spectrum (cool white) ,it will affect better .
and for flowering u would want a more red - yellow spectrum (warm white) .

for optmial usage , u can use mix spectrums . 70% - 30% . it will help simulate the sun light . as the sun light is white light (all spectrums) .
for grow , 70% blue , 30% red -yellow.
for flowering , 70% yellow - red , 30% blue .

thanks budd u pretty much sumed it up for me..... i have 70 percent blue and 30 red so... it work good ..i also bring in sunlight in morning . but my second thought was that the red would somehow cancel out the much need blue spectrum.. but i guess i was right and will mix the spectrums.
thanks
also should i leave them in light for 24 hours or 18 ... i think 16-18 but i might try 24 any results from 24/7?

I would do 18/6 as it gives the plants time to rest so to speak...Some people swear by 24/7 but in my experience it is not natural for 24/7 unless you are in antarctica and no weed there..

yea i swear on 18 6 hahha i have noticed leaves firm up and grow in dark... and by end of the day the leaves arent as firm and strong as in the morning after the dark period... im pretty sure its rest for the girls.... i just wish i had proven info on what hours is better but 17 or 18 hours is alright for me

also .. i hold the light like an inch from the plant is that alright?

As close to the light as possible is the best like 1-2 inches if not burning is the best. Good luck on the grow.

there is no proven results for 24/7 is better than 18 6 , so i would choose 18-6 .
ease off the electricity bill .
