I posted this earlier today on another thread.

"Flushing w/ soil has been proven to be unbeneficial for the plant. It can subject the plant to extreme stress and nutrient deficiencies in the rootzone."

Don't need to read the other thread, you only flush for 1 of 2 reasons. The first being hydro, and the second being any other grow that has been over-fertilized. Flushing is only a solution, not a necessity. How does one flush an in-ground...fire truck?.

I guess different growers use different techniques. The amount of flushing I do is dependent on the plant. I flush smaller plants for 2-3 days, medium plants for 3-5 days, and bigger plants for 6-7 days. I may be wrong but the product comes out great; no harshness. I am sure that flushing puts great stress on plants. We are all aware of that. The point of flushing at the end if a plants life is to decrease the amount nutrients in the plant right before harvest. Stress on a female plant before harvest makes the plant focus more on buds. So I don't see a point in not flushing; soil or hydro. Again, I may be wrong, or inaccurate.

I dont flush, I lower the nute values... basically when I feel I am ready to begin my last 2 weeks before harvest my feed schedule goes like this....

water - 75% - 60% - water - 50% - 35% - water - water - harvest

Again, why deprive plants of vital nutrients(outside of the obvious)during late flowering?. 25 years ago, I used to purchase Hawaiian on the black market for 250/oz....unflushed from a guy in the Navy sneaking it on-board. Flushing is a man-made answer to fucking around with nature. I don't flush my indoors, and I'll put my kush up against any in the market.

how much longer do you think i have then ???
Looking just at the hairs in the pictures that are clear, you seem to have a good many orange hairs, I would say you have maybe 10-14 days left and possibly as little as 7 days. You want to harvest when majority of the hairs are deep orange, not brown, not some orange and many white, but when 75%+ deep orange hairs.

Looks very close. I would wait about a week. If your trichomes are very "diamond glittering" when you hold it under the light it's still not ready. Try and take a good look. No need for lense for that. Glittering will stop and you'll clearly see the trichomes become white/milky.

Deffinately flush, I cant believe it when people say they dont flush thier plants...the truth is if you flush less, the buds will feel more expansive and slightly painful when smoked possibly giving people the impressio. That thier bud is more potent than it actually is. I like to push them hard coming up to harvest, feed them with a low nute bacterial and fungal tea once, then flush with water for 5 days or two waterings, whichever is longer. Flush it. deffinately
