Should I start flowering?

Ok, sorry no picture of my plant, cameras not working right now. Ok Im thinking about MAYBE stating to flower on monday 4/27. My plants doing well and appears very healthy. My main concern is hiding my plant the best way possible, so im not looking to grow a huge plant. It's a closet grow. Right now it's about 8" tall stem is about 1/2" very thick and strong, about 10 nodes stems gowing long and strong.30+ leaves. very bushy plant not stretching or anything. Bought is as a clone so I know it's female.

I was planning on vegging for another weak or two or until hit hits about 12". but I dunno, I dont want a big plant but i dont wanna waste it by having a small yield either.. What you guys think? I have heard a couple conclusions of what happens when your plants flowers but they kinda contradict eachother. I've heard it will grow 2 or 3 times its size and I have heard it stops growing tall and and focus' on the buds...

If you wait till it's 12" then when you flower it should end up at 2 to 2 1/2 feet tall, so the question is if that is too big for you or not. Sounds like the plant is healthy and big enough to flower anytime you want, the longer you wait the better the yield.

okay, 2-2.5' was about exactly what I was aiming or hoping for. Maybe monday will be a good start date then. thats 4 more whole days of 24/0 light. And with it gaining about 1/2" day shouldnt' be too far from 12". Almost time for that 12/12!

if your using HID's id wait as long as possible for a better yield. for cfls i wouldnt go much over a month or 1 ft. since they dont get the best light penetration.

Ya are good to flower now. However, a plant can grow up to 10 x's the size she was in her flower process! So, figure on n-e where from 1.5 x's-4 x's her size seein how ya are usin CFL's. Tell me about yer CFL's fer flowering

Up until two days ago (I got caught) I have been vegging under 230w of cfl's. since I got caught I kinda had to throw the plant in the closet under one 105w 6500k cfl. when im ready to flower I'll use probably two 65w 2700k cfl's and maybe add an adittional (or two) 23w 2700k cfl(s) one side and just rotate the plant daily or something. I have a shit load of cfl's i was using and planned on using but since my parents kinda found my grow (and even though i have my medical card) they're kinda not going for it. So i had to hide it better. thus loosing space and room for more light.

Ya are not gonna have enuf w/those 3 in flower. Ya are gonna wanna double the amount ya stated, and place lights strategically around her. I understand yer situation, but if ya just go w/the lights ya stated, ya are gonna be GRAVELY disappointed!:peace:

Alright, i'll have to see what I can work out. All together I think I own:

(1) 105w 6500k
(2) 65w 2700k's
(2) 30w 3500k's
and (2) 23w 2700k's

Thanks for all the advice. I'll see if I can squeeze at least one more in there, but It's pretty tight already with the four.

FYI the 23w I said Im using are actually 25w lol. not much of a difference but hey 25 is greater than 23 lol

in the 4th night of flowering...added one of the 30watters.. And the plant is starting to smell

It also depends on strain and brand on how tall it's gonna be when finished.

Keep your CFL's as close as you can to the tops of the leaves without burning them.

You could also give your plant some B-52. This will raise your plants metabolism, and make it grow more bushier rather than tall.

some b-52..where can i pick some of that up? like a hydro store? I think i MAY of seen some at super-k, but i could be wrong. Im not even sure if bushy would be better than tall in my situation. The plant is already bushy enough lol. And Im definately experiencing for myself how much the plant grows at night, definately has shown growth outward and upward since I shut off the lights. I layed off some of the plant food last watering just to be safe. The plant is a nice dark green color and is looking great and smells dank. Hopefully the smell doesnt get too strong when it flowers, its sitting in the closet in my room, hopefully it doesnt go any further than that, but I can definately smell the dank kicking in.

B-52 is made by Advanced Nutrients.
Yes, you'll have to go to a hydro store or you can get it on-line.
As far as Super K, I'll just pretend that your kidding.
You'll need to give something to your plant to keep it from growing tall, or it'll just keep growing.
You can top your plant, but I frown against topping due to the fact I'd rather have one huge baseball bat bud.

Topping your plant after the first week of bloom will keep it from growing so much upwards.
When your ceiling is'nt high enough for the growth then making your plant bushier is necessary.
Personally I'd go with the B-52 and cut back all the secondary buds and just grow the main cola.

my plant is growing pretty slow.. i mean i just transplanted it but lately i just been watering its 47 days old and about 5 inches tall.. bushy but short.. whats should i do?

maybe you're not using enough lighting...

It has gone through 6 days of flowering tonight will be the 7th night and its already let me know it's FEMALE! White pistils growing on the top of the plant!
