Should I start flowering? and some other questions

Hey. Its my first time growing and Ive got a few questions. First here is a pic of my plant and some background info:

Im broke so Ive grown it naturally just using water, natural light and some plant food (im not sure what kind so I only use a little bit heavily diluted, the plant likes it whatever it is). I think I planted it in april which was really dumb but its gotten a lot bigger now it summer. Anyway here are my questions:

1) When I should move my plant into the flowering stage? I saw this plant on weedsthatplease.com as an example of a plant ready for flowering and I think mine looks similar. http://www.weedsthatplease.com/images/vegstage3.jpg

Mine is about 75 cm (2 1/2 feet) tall right now but I could let it get as big as I want because Im growing in a very secluded area. Would I get more bud if i let the plant vegetate longer?

2) Should I prune any leaves? as you can see the small leaves are pushing through around the larger ones and sometimes bending them out of the way. Should I be encouraging the big leaves or trying to encourage smaller ones or should I just leave them alone?

3) There are a just few leaves right at the bottom that are very dry and brittle but the rest of the plant seems really healthy so should I just ignore this?

Any info would be really appreciated.

when to flower is very opinionated. I would if height is a concern for you. I would strip the bottom third of the plant but no other leaves or bud sites. if you want to encourage the smaller bud sites i would supercrop instead of pruning. she looks great though! nice job

I'd re-pot her,she looks a little cramped, flip a week or so later. although she's good to go any time really
Don't hack away at her though.
And yeh! Good job!

Dude, u can flip to flower when ever u want. It still wont produce buds till its mature enough. There are threads of people going 12-12 from seed.

The general rule of thumb is, longer u veg, more yield u will get.

its a good thing height isnt an issue for u. At 2 1/2 ft. those r gonna double or trippel in height. Try and get the money for the proper nutes, its def worth it.

I agree with sworth, def needs repotted, and dont go hacking at it. If u cant pull it off by barely pulling on it, ur plant is still using it. Good luck with ur grow man, plant looks very nice.

if your just using natural light then it should flower by itself very soon the days are getting shorter and the plant knows it. It should start flowering by the end of this month. i wouldnt trim it i would just let it be it looks very healthy. you probably should transplant it to a bigger pot. you can get decent nutrients for your plant for pretty cheap i just picked up a bottle of age old bloom for $8.00. your plant looks great hope you get a good harvest good luck and welcome to RIU.

i agree with superstonerdude...if it has been all natural she, hopefully, will do her thing on her own.

transplant the plant to a bigger pot asap, she looks mad cramped in that tiny little pot, for real....although she looks verry healthy and happy, transplant, DONT strip any leaves and get some bloom nutes, its only like 20 bucks depending on what u buy, well worth it...i use flora nova bloom, very cheap, i think its organic, its easy to use and awesome results...id flower her now and you should get like 2 ounces or so...

thats a healthy looking plant for not having any nutes. usually by this time with no nutes they show probs. anyhow you have to know your gonna be looking at a Christmas tree when you get through the stretch of flowering. goodluck bro.
