Nope - leave the leaves! Ha!

When she is done with the leaves she will drop them, but first she will pull all the nutes she can out of them.

id rather not remove fan leaves unless they are diseased or yellow, if they are in the way of a bud site then i would tuck them out of the way, the way i see it is that your leaves are your plants engine remove them less growth, i could be wrong but that is my way of dealing with fan leaves

sure, go ahead and cut them all off, after all, what does a plant need silly ole things like leaves for?? hmm, lets think about that one for a second.. leaves are what hang out in the sun and collect the light from either the sun or a lamp and convert light energy into foods via photosynthesis.. no leaves, no photosynthesis.. no photosynthesis, no plants...

If you need, try tieing them down or away or whatever helps. As long they stay connected (and healthy) they are beneficial.

All of the above. Removing leaves before the plant sheds them opens the plants system to pathogens. Google "abscission". The plant will shed the leaf when it's no longer needed, or to protect itself from disease. I agree that anyone who advocates removing leaves is a retard, unless you can seal off the wounded open plant tissue.

I usually just squeeze the stem of the fan leaf being careful not to break it, and just bend the weak part to get it out of the way, where it continues to do its thing.
