Should I know the sex by now?

So my plant is like 2 months old, should I know if it is a male/female by now? This is my first grow so I don't really know how to pick that stuff out from personal experience, but I've seen plenty of photos and videos explaining all that

Depends. Is that 2 months under veg? If not, how long has it been in 12/12? Once you flip to 12/12 it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to show. I have had one that took almost 3 weeks to show me her hairs.

So many places to go with this I'll just leave it alone. LOL strain, size, environmental factors( IE how stressed) will determine when they show sex.

Growing outdoors flowering cycles start depending on the
latitude of your location. There are other factors involved but for an approximation you go by hrs of increasing night. When the nights start getting longer plants are triggered to start flowering. Find a website with a sunrise/sunset schedule and insert your location.

I added a link with all of that information lol but the sunrise/sunset and dusk/dawn is what confuses me, I wasnt sure by which number to go by because their both different

You need to look at hrs of sunlight and hrs of night. IE- 12/12= 12hrs day/12hrs night. Sunrise and sunset is what most people use. You can read about how twilight hrs can add to it but normally you can go by SR/SS.

Ah i see, thanks guys. Well shit, it's all over the place tho lol it went from 11:52 to 12:24 a few weeks ago but didn't flower? Does the sunrise/sunset just go up and down a lot or what? Like for example, after a few weeks when the plant decides it wants to start flowering, itl wait for the next 12/12 to pop up? Just a guess tho, so I'm probably wrong lol

Fucking awesome link, thanks a bunch for that. So there's a 12/12 at two times of the year, does that mean that starting a grow after that would be ideal? I can't probly find this on google, but if anyone wants to share how to figure when the best time to start a grow would be, that would be awesome lol

Most start in the spring or early summer when the days are long and any chance of frost has passed. Start too soon and the plant will start to flower early, then realize the days are getting longer and try to go back to vegitative growth. This often results in a small stunted plant. I have 4 ugly stunted bushes myself right now because of this.

For my area (north Cali) most people start in late may or early June. The days start getting shorter after the summer solstice and most plants begin to flower around the middle of August. Most are ready to harvest sometime in October.

Also, you can often start plants from seed a little early because they can't flower until they reach maturity (roughly 6 weeks of age).

so it would prbably be best for me to start the germ process about early may-ish? for me, april is when the days start to get longer (12:33 by early april, 13:29 by the end of it), so id think if i started germinating by late april then id be good

That should be fine. You can always start indoors under some lights as well. I started my seeds may first this year. They're about 4-5 feet tall now even after being tied down. You can start early for large plants or as late as july for smaller plants.

Think about how much space you have as well. If you have a short fence or a small space a later start might work better. These plants grow rapidly under the right conditions. I had 4-6 inch tall clones in may that are now 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide. I have to crawl on my stomach to get between them. An experienced grower in a large pot or in the ground can turn a six inch plant started in April/may into a 12 foot tree by the end of August.
