Should I freeze my trimmed material immediately?

Hey RIU I was just sitting down to trim my buddahs sister and am looking into making some BHO-should I immediately freeze the trim after im done trimming, or dry/cure-then freeze it?
Or does this only help when making bubble?

Dry first then freeze.
I froze my trim green, when I finally decided to make bubble hash, I didn't worry about weight but I ended up with 4-6 grams.

My bubble hash had a greenish tinge.
when dried I pressed it together and baked it at 200 for 20 minutes then I rolled it out on parchment paper.
Froze that then folded it up and heated it once more and Then pressed it into a Container.

On my Ti nail, it will sit for 10-15 seconds then it will start to smoke.
Its so smooth that it takes a few hits to get a good buzz.
Not great in the flavor dept, but it's a first time producing more than a half gram of hash.

It works either way. It is easier to get a pristine extraction dry, but the terpene retention and aromatics are better with fresh frozen.

Done it a few different ways with very little noticeable differences. The best BHO yield I've had so far was from trims that were left out to dry for a couple days & then frozen to subzero temps loosely prepacked in the tube for 48 hrs. I think the return was better mostly because you can fit more trim into the tube after drying them out a bit. When I've run it freshly cut then frozen it is more difficult to control pressure in the tube.... Back pressure builds up behind frozen chunks of weed... I think it's also possible that trichs can be bypassed if they are stuck in a frozen mass... Less moisture the better I say.... Bone dry or at least somewhat dry is better than wet IMO but it can be done either way

I think if I had dried my trim then froze it I would have got a cleaner product.
When you freeze fresh trims you transform the 75 to 80% of water that makes the leaves into ice. The ice takes a lot more space than the water, so you are actually destroying the leaves at the cellular level which bring a lot of chlorophyll

Hey guys I have a question for you:
Have you ever tried trims dried and cured on flowers for over 3 months?
It makes a huge difference in the quality of hashish so I was wondering if it would be the same when you blast

Frenchy you mean getting Real "dry trim" instead of wet trim dried separately? I have many suspicions that curing with the trim On helps the trichomes develop in a style better suited to concentrating hash goodness , but I'm far from proof. So many things can play a role before the run. Why wouldn't going to the slowest and most classical way of trimming yield a unique dimension in effect and flavor. It's like I never noticed how much bad bud there must be out there till I saw how much kief there was in a load of machine trim I guess everyones just smoking plant material....

Frenchy I wait and I wait for the day I meet that grower who's on the same wavelength as I am on. I've met a few of the hotshot's in town who only smoke polished dry sift, but good luck getting them to give up a gram of trim to any other art form of concentrate.

Frenchy reverse question to you, where would you put making hash from Bud's that were cured over 3 months without trim? is the way the trich's cure that far off without the curled trim to protect it?

I've been fortunate to have a few patients that have turned over their entire prescription of bud for my style of hash oil and do so on the regular. I'm wondering if I should have them relay back to their designated grower that they want the trim left on.

I have learned from some of the best growers in Mendocino that curing with your sugar leaves on make for a far superior smoke after 3 months.
I have had the experience with the Pinot Noir and will have the chance this coming year to study the matter in depth.
The important point to remember is that it is all about the trichomes, always; so well cured buds without trims may not be as perfect as it could have been with trims but you have cured resin glands and that is vital.
All producing countries cure their resin glands for 3 months or so before pressing, traditions that last have a tendency to be very effective.

I dunno if the best smoke makes the best dab, but I feel it in my bones as they say.
I do know that the few times I've ran bud that gave fantastic smoke I've gotten back oil that was on a different level. I've never had anything like those 5 grams i got from that ounce of MK ultra. That bud smoked robusto like a cigar built for Castro himself. The oil tasted like the complexities of the aging process, it was far from the OG kush and G13 that went into it.
